Default Valentine's Day

I almost forgot to buy a card and gift for my DH. I've been so consumed with TTC that I haven't even thought of what to get him. What are you girls getting your DHs? He did ask me if I wanted to eat out or stay in. We traditionally stay in and make lobster so I said we should continue that tradition. I think I'll get him cologne. He likes to smell good. I like it too.

DH is a huge lurker -- so I will say that he has hinted all weekend for a playstation 3 mic -- We'll see! LOL

V Day is also my AS b-day - he'll be 17 so we don't celebrate that big!

Everyone have a great day!

I was thinking that he would bring me out for dinner. That would work for me. Although I don't think we want to go on Valentine's Day because everyone goes then. Later in the week probably... But other than him bringing me out, I wasn't thinking of getting him anything. I'm so romantic I can hardly stand it.

Marian: I love the animation you added. This has been a fun thread for me to help take my mind off of TTC. The challenge has really robbed the romance out of our love making and relationship in general. It started to feel so clinical and mechanical. Aside from that my mood hasn't been very good with the hormones. disappointments and disagreeing about how to proceed. It usually takes DH about a year to catch up to where I'm at in the game. But at least he's finally on board with IVF. For a long time he kept saying it will happen when you stop trying so hard. If I had a baby for everytime someone has said that too me I'd open a nursery. My patience has been put to the test in the last three years. I"d like to say I've gone through it gracefully, but the truth is I've been kicking and screaming. Valentine's Day is a great reminder to put forth a little more effort on my part.

Good thread - lighthearted to take our minds off stuff!

I kind of forgot about Valentine's Day. I went to Hallmark yesterday to get thank you notes for people's expressions of sympathy for my father and I was like "huh? Valentine's cards? Oh yeah!" so I got DH a card.

We've been together almost 4 years and every V-Day I make DH his favorite, seafood crepes. It's a huge project, takes hours to make and hours to clean up, but I hardly ever make it, and he loves it, so I'll do that and continue the tradition.

We're not real gift exchange people except birthdays and Christmas. He would never get me jewelry or anything big like that for V-Day. When I worked outside the home he always sent my favorite flowers to the office. Of course with all the plants and flowers in the house that people have sent the past few days I don't know if I even want flowers from DH this year. We might go out to eat this weekend or maybe to the farmer's market Saturday morning which I really enjoy.

We don't do a lot for V-Day. I got DH a card.
I guess we sort of got each other an IVF cycle, eh? $9k is probably more than most spend on gifts...heehee.

Happy Valentines Day, babe! Now stab me in the butt with this needle!
