Mom2Mikey - so sorry to hear the bad news, but I love your positive attitude in recognizing that atleast you found out right away that it just wasn't meant to be and didn't have to go through the ET and awful 2WW. Like TKeys, I think my doc was worried about overstimulating me as well and ended up understimming me. Make sure to talk to him about your protocol and assess what changes need to be made for next time so you can get your BFP.

Tanya - OMG totally hear you about this laying in bed thing driving you crazy! It's 75 and gorgeous outside and I'm ALWAYS up and about keeping busy so just sitting around is torture for me (but completely well worth it!). So what meds are you on now? I'm only taking Estrace and Crinone suppositories (thank goodness no more awful shots!).

GiasAunt-It is great here as well and I so want to go outside! I am taking the baby aspirin and progesterone oil 100mg IM daily. How are you feeling? I want to POAS already. I wish there was an immediate way to know.

I'm feeling fine, sort of crampy and bloated though, which is odd b/c I thought this feeling was supposed to go away after ER??? Other than that, just really restless!!!

MOM2Mikey I'm so sorry to hear about your embryo. I'm glad to hear you are keeping positive. I know it must be hard for you right now but I see a BFP in the near future for you. ;-) Keep your spirits high and continue to be hopefull!!!

Hello ladies- I 'm just catching up with all the messages...I've been out all day.
My update: I got a call this am from my RE ..my 3 eggs are still hanging in there. They said they think they will transfer tomorrow but they will let me know in the morning.....so I'm "on call". Is it bad that they are transfering on Day 3 instead of Day 5? I asked the RE and everything is "fine" wish they would say something else...lol But I'm hoping my eggies develop further and that tomorrow we are still on track. I'll keep you ladies posted. I'm on progesterone and antibiotics. Anyone else taking the same?
Also what should I expect after the transfer? Should I be out of work for a couple of days? I mean I know they say 1 day and then back to work but should I trully take extra days off? I have tons of vaca left so I def can take extra days if it would make things better.

The doc. told me to be in bed rest, only getting up to go the bathroom, all day of the transfer and the day after. As far as the 3 day versus 5 most doc. concur that there is no one better than the other, most decide by the number of developing eggs, if you have a lot they will wait until day five if there are not that many then do a day 3 tx, some people have BFN on day 5 transfer and then positive with a 3 day, like Gin. I had 5 day blast tx. and got BFP. Good luck to you.

Hopefull-I had my transfer on Friday and I am not going back to work until this comingFriday. I am just afraid of doing to much at work. I work in a skilled unit of a very large nursing facility and it can get quite hectic at times. I am just not taking any chances. I guess it depends on the type of work you do. My RE told me to be on bedrest for 3 days, the day of the transfer and the next two days (just up to the bathroom, shower, and meals). I am on my last day and bored to death!!! As far as the 3 day VS. 5 day transfer, I think if you have a large number of fertilized eggs it would be less of a gamble to hold out for 5 days but alot of them get lost along the way, some that may have made it if transferred on day three. On the other hand the 5 days embryos are more likely to result in pregnancy. I hope that makes sense...that's how it was explained to me anyway. Good luck tomorrow!
