talking about ttc#2

I posted on the other board but it's pretty slow over there.

Dh and I have been on the outs for a little while about making a decision on ttc#2. Here is what we have decided. He does want another . He has some very strong concerns, rightfully so. We had morning sickness so bad that I lost 30lbs and spent over 7 wks in the hospital due to just that, we had 2 abruptions and then went into labor at 31 wks but didn't deliver till 34, plus I spent about 12 wks on bedrest.

Here is our plan.....if there is one when IF is concerned.

1. We will be consulting the high risk ob as if it is safe to have another or not.

2. We will wait to see if our lo has any gentic abnormalities. If he does then we will see
how serious they are. If he is the mild case then we will not have another if he is
the severe case then we will. I know that that might seems harsh and we would
love that baby no matter what .... but our lo has been very ill and still has many
hurddles to yet cross and I don't know if we could emitionally and $ handle 2 that
way.

3. We also decided that if we can not another one here is our plan for our frozen embries:
a. If iI shouldn't have another we plan to adopt them out.
b. If we chose not to due to gentetic issues then we will donate them to science
to study that issue.

4. If we do not ttc#2 then we plan to adopt and dh said that he would want to adopt but
that it would have to be a girl. I told him that having a girl could be very expensive
because there are lots of cutie girl clothes. He laughed and said I know.

Sometimes I wonder if I even want to ttc with IVF again with the preg that we had last time. I told him that I was all over being prego and just want to be able to share our love with another child ours or not. He would prefer that if we are able to have our own that that is how he wants it. I can understand that but we will just wait to make a decision on that when all the info is in.

Wishing you success in this decision Jen! I hope that it all becomes clear to you soon, which direction to pursue. You know I am here cheering you on which ever road you choose.

Jenni~ Can I ask what is going on with Zach? I didnt know he was sick?

Jen I am excited to hear you are taking about it. You and Dh will come to a great decision. I also didn't know zach had something wrong or is sick. Fill us in..if you want to
