Default Starting Lupron Tomorrow!!

So, I start the Lupron injections tomorrow. This being my first time I'm a little nervous, but DH is in nursing school so he is completely excited to stick me with needles!!

Wish Me Luck

GOOD LUCK! Keep us posted on your progress. I didn't think that these first shots were all that bad (after I had freak out time). You're very lucky to have a medical professional as a spouse!

Hi Lacy,

Lupron is a piece of cake! My first cycle this month too and I got through the Lupron w/o a hitch...I took my last dose this morning.
Good luck!!!

It wasn't to bad. In fact I didn't even get out of bed. At 7 am, DH woke up got the it ready and told me his was going to poke me, then I went back to sleep! I didn't think it would be bad though. I'm pretty tough, I can handle a little sting. Although, I have these 18 gauge needles I'm not exactly looking forward too!!

Glad it went ok!!
And don't worry, those 18 gauge needles are probably just for drawing up the medicine, not for injecting!!

Welcome to the fun, Lacy!

Kristin's right. The 18 gauge are for mixing/drawing up meds. Make sure you have smaller ones--discuss it with your nurse.
