Default Self Administering PIO Shots

Okay, dh is going out of town next week. I have to get the courage to give this shot to myself! He's given them to me for two days now... and I KNOW they don't really hurt. Thankfully, mine is made with ethyl oleate and I only have to use a 25guage 1" needle. The problem is, getting up the courage to stick that thing in my own rump! Tonight I tried to do it myself and I stood there, ready to go, and just couldn't take the plunge! I have to get the guts to do it by Tuesday night.

Dh said there was nothing to it... so I told him to SHOW ME. He took one of the sterile needles (empty) and gabbed it right in his rear! Now, I just need to be able to follow his lead!

It is no biggie to do it at all. I swear! Dh did mine for like a week and then it was just easier for me to do it. It hurts no more than the little ones. I really think it is just a mental thing. My advice: don't sit there and think about it for too long. Just do it as quick as you can and you will laugh at how it was no big deal. Let us know how you do.

I've never been able to do my own PIO so I will be very interested in hearing about how you come along with this.

OMG that is too funny I can picture it.... my dh won't let me do it to him I begged! But this was the best laugh I have had in a while.

I know you can do it, just don't put to much thought into it, get your dh to fix it while your watching tv then during a break just go in and do it and come out before the show comes back on.

I have been doing them all myself this cycle and I have to say it hurts less. I lie on the bed and twist a little and then just stick it in. Honestly, it's better than when DH does it to me.

Great visual Thanks for the laugh. The first one is always the toughest. It will get easier.
