Default Question for the experts

I was wondering about the cost associated with shared egg programs, shared risk programs, and donor eggs.

We recently had a failed cycle and I only retreived two mature follicles...Any infor mation will be great!

I have no info on Shared egg/risk programs but donor egg programs cost the same as if you were stimming and doing a transfer. Then you add on the cost of meds for yourself (which isn't much compared to stimming - it's similar to doing a FET). And then of course you reimburse the donor for her time and energy, etc. put into making the eggs. Four years ago our donor was compensated $2500 through our clinic's donor pool. I think it is at least twice that through donor egg coordinators and/or privately. I've heard of people advertising to pay a donor up to $50,000 if she had the qualifications they were looking for. That is just insane. I think it is also going to depend on your location.

All in all, we came through our DE cycle around $15,000. That is less expensive than most clinics, from my understanding.

Good luck!
