For swimming or bathtub I will wait until the first trimester is over, after week 12, unless of course the doc. says to don't do it, as far as intercourse I have no idea, until my doc. gives me the OK I guess.
I was told my only restriction on intercourse was the 4 or 5 days past transfer. With that being said, every time DH & I plan or try to bd again, something goes wrong. I've been so tired, so I keep crashing early at night. I've spotted 3 times (I seem to spot mostly on Saturday nights!) and I've been too scared to do anything when I've been spotting (and the worry kind of kills the mood that day and the few days afterwards).
We've done . . . shall we say "other things" a few times, but I think if we don't get some bd in sometime soon, DH might go crazy!
We were told no BD'ing until after a heartbeat was confirmed. As for the bath, my OB said they were fine as long as the water wasn't too hot. He said everything "swells" up down there for lack of a better term and nothing is going to go in or out. However, just from a nursing standpoint, I would wait a bit to avoid infection. There's been a lot going on down there with ER, ET, etc. I waited until 13 weeks.
If you want to know for sure, I'd call your RE. Everyone's advice is different.

I've been pg for 15 months of the last two years. I never felt like it with a newborn and then we had an IVF cycle that took away another month (who's in the mood with all those shots??) So, in the last 2 years, DH has only had a few months to get any from me. Too bad this --> does nothing for men.

One time we had to go 2 months and I thought DH would explode! 1st it was 'not after transfer' then it was 'not until 1st U/S' then unfortunatley it was '2 weeks after surgery' and a day before we hit that mark we found out the pg was ectopic and had to have ANOTHER surgery so that added 2 MORE weeks! I almost forgot how to BD by that point!
Gin, like the ladies said, I'd ask RE. Not sure about baths but I'm thinking he/she will tell you its ok once you've seen the heartbeat.
Our Poor DH's are more acquainted with 'themselves' for lots of reasons.....everytime I come home with a cup he says "AGAIN!?!?!?!?!?" Unfortunately they're used to it by now!
