Post Op Appointment - FET Scheduled....
Hi ladies. Just wanted to check in. I'm FINALLY feeling myself again for the most part. Physically that is! Mentally I have good days and bad days but I honestly have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself becuase sometimes I dont know where it is that I pull my strength from. I think we all should really give ourselves a pat on the back from time to time becuase I think there are MANY women that could NEVER handle what we go through in hopes of realizing our dreams!!
I had my post op appointment today, my RE said I'm healing well and she's very pleased with how the surgery went. She showed me pictures, and I got to see the bulge in my fallopian tube, it looked like a gumball, it was HUGE! I know that it never would have been a normal pregnancy but it was still sad..............RE said it was a miracle that we caught it becuase it was seconds away from bursting.
We're both still in shock becuase we did 3 or 4 ultrasounds and saw nothing and after the Methotrexate shot and all, here came this sac out of nowhere!! I'm just glad its in the past now becuase that limbo throughout the past month was torture! All I can do now is look toward a POSITIVE future!!
So my 6 embies are on ice and we're looking to start my FET cycle mid April. The 16th will be our 3 year wedding anniversary so hopefully that will bring me some luck this time around!
So from you FETers..........this will be my first frozen cycle, What can i expect? I had B/W this morning and will probably start the pill tomorrow. I know she mentioned 'estrace' and mostly oral medications other than the Lupron prior to the transfer. How long is an FET cycle? I THINK she said 'down protocol'. Can anyone help so I know what I'm in for?
And also, lets do this once again, just to keep my hopes in tact.........how many BFPs do we have around here from FETs as opposed to Fresh Transfers?
Hope all is well with everyone..............Anyone out there cycling in April/May????

I am so glad you have orchastrated aplan of action. FETS by far are way easier!!!!
I just wanted to remind you about asking your RE about EMBRYO GLUE. This glue is suppose to prevent
drifting of embryo's. I strongly reccomend it. I used it for my successful cycle. How many will you be tx'ering!

Re: Post Op Appointment - FET Scheduled....
Thanks Melissa......DARN! I forgot to ask her about that today but I will have plenty of opportunities before my cycle starts. I will certainly bring that option up.
If all goes well with the thawing hopefully I'll have 3 to transfer and 3 to put back. (She won't transfer any more than 3.)

Re: Post Op Appointment - FET Scheduled....
Glad to see you're doing well. Your strength is an inspiration. I believe Sooz just did a FET and got a BFP. I've never done a FET, but do have one frozen embryo. Best of luck hon. I wish you the best for your FET cycle.

Renee~ I just know that the FET is going to work for you!!
Its so much easier than a fresh cycle and you just dont have as much to worry about...injections etc.

Re: Post Op Appointment - FET Scheduled....
all i have to say is BOTH my FET's have worked though one sadly ended early. that gives me hope for my final attempt - will be transferring mid april. all depends on when af shows up. i don't do lupron. just start estrace day 1 of my cycle and add PIO shots a few days before transfer. also take prometrium and baby aspirin. not too bad. i go a few times to make sure the lining is thickening up and then off to the transfer

Re: Post Op Appointment - FET Scheduled....
Rachelle, I'm so glad we'll be cycling together! We've suffered ENOUGH sadness so I can't WAIT to root you onto your BFP!!
Deb, you TOO! (and of course, Justine..........thats 4 of us so far!)
I'm enjoying my time off for now but part of me is anxious too. I keep hearing of how much easier an FET is and I'm ALL for that!!!
