phase II
So many of you probably read my previous post about my journey with 7 IVFs and how it ended. It is hard to move on when you reach the end of the road.
http://talk.sheknows.com/f86/lil-story-about-7-ivfs-684445/
So I vowed to start living my life -- drinking coffee, exercising, eating whatever I want - no worries in the world. We also decided to ttc on our own but totally low pressure. I am not monitoring anything. I also said I would try drinking wine again around ovulation b/c hey last time I did that I got a bfp (even though it ended in a chemical pregnancy....)
So on my way to work yesterday I decided to stop at walmart and buy some pregnancy tests. As soon as I got to work I tested. Much to my shock I got a very very faint bfp. Since I have so much experience with this now I tried not to get too excited especially since it was so faint. So later in the day I went out to walmart AGAIN and bought more pregnancy tests. I poas right there in the store, you know -- just to be sure. But to my surprise it said "not pregnant" I was like, huh? So I went back to the office and did another different kind of test - negative too. I started thinking maybe I got a false positive on the other test. But I sorta felt pregnant. So I was thoroughly confused as to what was going on. I came home and told DH went happened through the day. Shortly after that I started spotting. So I thought, here we go again, it must be over.
This morning I tested again, still bfp. So I went forward and got a beta done. I had to go to my OB b/c my RE's office basically told me that they did not want to treat me b/c I was not under their care (which was very disappointing...). The spotting stopped this morning and I have not had anything since. My OB called tonight at 6:30 to tell me my number is 35 and my progesterone is 13. Neither number sounds particularly good. She said the numbers sound fine for early pregnancy. I am not sure when I ovulated, but my lmp was 3/1 so I figure I am about 14-16 dpo. I am thinking it is probably another chemical. But can you believe I would get pregnant on my own after 7 failed IVF cycles? I still do not think much of it, b/c I got pregnant on my own before and it resulted in an m/c and then did not get pregnant again for 2+ years and only with the help of IVF. So here I sit with more drama under my belt. But it is all okay b/c I still feel like I have come to terms with things and have accepted whatever God has planned for me even if that is not what I had planned for me.
Thanks again for listening girls!!

Re: phase II
wow janine, i CAN believe you got pg on your own because as you said, you have accepted what God has planned and we have learned the hard way that we sure as heck can't plan it on our own. i will be honest and say, yes, that # is a bit low if you are truly 14-16dpo but maybe you ovulated late and it is earlier. are you going for a repeat beta? i will only good things for this little one and maybe God will decide to give you another earth angel. if this doesn't turn out, then maybe it is God's way of showing you to have hope and continue to trust Him and live life to the fullest. many hugs and blessings your way sweetie

Re: phase II
For some odd reason when i saw your post I knew it would be about a BFP. I will put a word in with the guy above, keep us posted. Oh in regard to your beta, when I was preggers with AJ there were girls with betas as low as 16 or 17 and well, they had babies in January..lol so Don't judge by that. Also, CARE75 had a beta of I believe 65 or so and was preggers with twins... so number mean nothing!!!!

I'm not really a religious person, but I do have faith... I'm a firm believer in the saying, "Let Go & Let God." He works in mysterious ways, does He not? I that this continues to thrive and grow for you... and like Rachelle said, if it doesn't turn out the way we are all praying, maybe it is God's way of telling you not to give up hope just yet.
for you sweetie. We're all pulling for your little bean to stick & grow!!!
