Default Options Talk

Does anyone know what might be in store for the options talk with the doctor? I have two BFN in injectible cycles. Just wondering if anyone had any insights. Thanks!

After ours, we got an evaulation of what the problem was. I was told that my ovulation/response to meds was great, but DH's boys just weren't swimming. We were encouraged to go the IVF w/ ICSI route, and he talked to us about the odds of success with that, and the protocol he'd recommend. We ended up doing IVF and after a rocky cy, we got our .

First of all, Great Job on the Weight Loss Andrea! WTG is right!!!!

I did 4 cycles of IUI w. injectables before I got my BFP! Unfortunately I miscarried and then tried 2 more cycles and THEN moved to IVF. I think that normally, if I remember correctly, the RE's like to try atleast 3 IUI cycles before moving onto IVF so I would think they'd talk about that option if they dont forsee any issues with you NOT getting PG through IUI.

Like you, I dont ovulate so thats why I couldnt get PG w.out help from meds.

GOOD LUCK GIRL! I know its a tough road but you'll get your baby - somehow!

w/Renee. My RE wanted at least three !U!s w/injectables before moving on to IVF. But of course, everyone's DX is different so it's impossible to say what your doc will say?

Wish I could be more help.

Let us know what happens!

Like the other girls were saying, my 2 REs both wanted to do 3 rounds of IUI with Clomid/Injectibles before moving onto IVF but that's not always the case. Plus after my 3 failed IUIs my 1st RE wanted to then do 6 rounds of just Clomid (and that's why I changed REs). My 2nd RE was more into looking at what my problems were and what would work best for me...he said any more meds/IUIs, etc would just be a waste of time for me and that IVF would give me my best chances.
I'm sure your RE will give you the various options and go over your past history and what is causing your negative results. Ask tons of questions and make sure you feel comfortable with the next steps (I initially agreed to the 1st RE saying 6 more rounds of Clomid b/c I figured..hey she knows best. But then when I got home I thought..wait a minute..screw that!).
Good luck!
