Hi Everyone,

I did my transfer last Thursday 4/10. They managed to transfer 3 embryos. All grade 1. They transferred an 8 cell, a 6 cell and a compacted embryo. I did a day three transfer. But since my retrieval I managed to retain fluid in my abdomin which is very uncomfortable. My stomach is bloated to it's max and it's very painful. I can't stand up straight because my skin doesn't stretch any further. The nurse and dr. said it might take 1 month for it to go away especially if I become pregnant. Anyone went through this? It's very scarry! I have to gasp for air at times. Can this hurt my chance of the embryo's sticking? I've been using the bathroom to go #2 a lot and I feel like all that straining could have had a bad impact on my chances of conceiving. Any advice? I emailed the dr. this morning but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Wishing you the best, I don't have any advise but if you feel at all constipated either drink some prune juice (yuck, I had to do that when I was pg w/ H & B) &/or up your roughage (green leafy lettuce/spinach), apples....fiber.

Drink lots of gatorade. OHSS is usually a great sign for a BFP, most women who do have it usually end up with a positive.

Hang in there. I drank as much Gatorade as I could although being so bloated made it difficult. I think slept sitting up for a week.

Gatorade and protien. My re had me eat lots of protein to keep from getting it and after the er to keep it away.
