O/T My 2WW Diversion - American Idol

So... American Idol is one of the few things helping pass the time in my treacherous
2WW.

I was wondering if any of you had early faves.

I like Michael Johns, David Archaletta(?), and the guy who does crosswords.
For the girls I like the Carly Simony one (long blond hair) and the girl who talked about hula dancing last night.
I think most of them are pretty good. I don't like the guy who sang moon river two weeks ago (I can't remember what he sang last night) or the long blonde rocker (TMZ said his hair was a wig, btw). I don't think there are any girls that bug me - yet.

Who do you love/hate so far?

Sorry I only watch the auditions. But I'm glad you have something for the horrible 2ww!!! Please let us know when you feel the need to POAS! I can't wait for the next BFP!!!! Caden is going to make such a good big brother! You can just see it in his face!!!!

I'm an AI addict. Initially my fav was Michael Johns, but I think yound David outsang him Tues. None of the girls are really standing out for me. I think Brooke/Carly is good but nothing like David. He's so humble and natural. Can't wait for the results. I think Luke and the guy with the blonde streak should go home for the boys. the rocker girl needs to go too. That's my opinion. It does help the time go by. When's your 1st beta Renee?

Cindy, I agree David has the whole package. I forgot to mention I really like Carly. I think her voice is great and she might give david a run for his money at tyhe end:-)

YAY - an AI thread! I am an addict too. DH watched the auditions and he's as bad as Simon, I swear! I watch the show and DH is usually in his office on the computer, but he can hear the performances from the living room and he'll yell out things like "oooh that was BAD!" "does that person really think they can sing?" "Oh, that one is going home!" and honestly, he's usually right.

Last night I predicted Jason (blonde streak guy) and Robbie (long hair/bandanna guy) would go home. Got that one right! For the girls I predicted Alexandrea and Amanda (the rocker chick) and I was wrong on the rocker chick. I like her but she does not have a mass-appeal sound. I didn't remember Alaina, the blonde girl they kicked off, guess that should have been a sign!

I like the Irish girl, Carly. And Ramiel - she's so cute and very talented - never expect that big voice to come out of that tiny person! Syesha is a good singer too. For the guys I like Michael Johns and David Archuletta, but I think David is more of a fan favorite. I also like the guy Danny, who sang The Carpenters song, he cracks me up. Is it just me or do Amanda and Brooke look way older than 23 and 24? Look at Jason Castro's eyes - who do they remind you of? I totally see John Travolta and when I said that to DH he cracked up and agreed.

Anyone watch Project Runway? Who do you think will win next week? P.R. is the only reality show DH will sit and watch with me and I think it's just to see Heidi Klum but he has opinions on the contestants. Oh, we also watch Amazing Race together, but that's not on right now.

Hi Renee, i'm so glad you've found a diversion, atleast for some of your 2WW.

I too watch AI, me and DH catch every episode either LIVE or on TIVO. I think that they're crazy when they say this is the 'best top 20' ever! I dont agree. I think for the most part, most of the girls have good voices BUT the judges are right, even though I'm so sick of hearing them say "song choice" its true, what the hell are they singing?

Other than David Archuletta this past week, I dont think anyone has really blown me away. David Hernandez (Papa was a rollin stone) did pretty good too.

I felt SO bad for the blonde that got kicked off last nigth, poor thing.......I didnt necessarily agree wiht her getting booted over some of the other girls but I did agree with the boys I guess. I think Luke should be next to go.

Ok, I'm done rambling......lol......

HOw are you feeling Renee?!?!?! Any symptoms??

That dude's hair is really fake? I kind of liked him. Now, I will only picture him bald.
