New to IVF and scared of unknown!!

Hi everyone.

I start my shots on March 29th and i'm very nervous. Nervous about the needles and the whole procedure. Can I join you gals and get some support? Is anyone else going through this in March with a ER and ET in April??

I hate to post this but I am just as scared as you....this is my first IVF also. And I will be right along with you in April. I am waiting on af and then I will start bcp. GOOD LUCK

I forgot to mention...the ladies on this board are WONDERFUL and they have experience with just about everything. They will help you though...

Yes, it is all very scary at first. But believe me, it is all manageable. The shots are a pain but if you are like most of us, you will quickly get used to them and they will become nothing more than a minor inconvenience. For me, the hardest part was always the managing of my emotions.
Youy have come to a great place though. I learned so much here that I never would have known otherswise and it made all the difference in the world.
NO question is stupid. You will probably be asking a lot of them and everyone here has been in your shoes and is more than willing to help.

Hi WElcome! I rememeber feeling exactly the way you do with my first IVF. I still feel a bit apprehensive but to a much lesser degree!

You are at the right place. There are ladies on this board who have doent his many times and are excellent support system! Everyone is really comapssionate and understanding, and above all very helpful. Their support meant a lot to me and I knew I could always come here with questions and find answers.

As for IVF and meds, you start with Lupron (most take Lupron) which is a very easy injection and so you get kinda used to the whole injection process. Then the later ones tho a wee bit complicated, turn out to be very easy!

You can do it! If DH and I could muddle our way through it, anybody can.

We will be right here if you need us. I learned a long time ago that no question is silly because most of the time there is at least one of person lurking out there thinking/asking the exact same thing!

It all seems a bit overwhelming when you look at it all at once but just take each day as it comes and do what you have to do that day and before you know it you'll be telling us all about your

Welcome!!! This board has been literally a life saver for me. I have learned so much and someone is ALWAYS there with a smile or kind word. If my RE apt goes ok -- I could be a close cycle buddy! We'll see - - I've been down this road last month and did not work out the way I wanted to.
