Names -- OT
Hey there, I was just wondering what names everyone has "picked out". Before we got our first BFP we had Brady picked out (shoot before we got married we had that name). Then when we got our BFP we threw the names Hope & Grace around (if they would have been twin girls that's what their names would have been). We just decided we like Hope better. Now it will be 100% different.....I can see already that we are NOT going to agree on anything. I like Colton or Donavan, DH HATES them both. I like the name Jillian, not sure what DH thinks thou.

Re: Names -- OT
We have been arguing about names for 11 years. We actually got to name our last adopted child now 5yo - that we had picked out forever. "Jack" John Paul Stanley -- we have a very Italian last name. Girl would have been Sadee Joyce. All names are from family members. Although DH will tell you his son is named after Paul from Kiss.
Now, DH is stuck on Marlee for a girl -- I like it but it's our neighbor's little girls name. For a boy he wants Kenneth after my late father.
Our kids names are - Nicole Carol, Robert Alan, Cassandra Christina, Isaiah Daniel and John Paul Stanley.
I love the name Colton - AS's best friend is Colton James and what a cutie! I love the not so popular names, although with a name like Justine I supose I have to.

Re: Names -- OT
love your names too! I like that the kids have "meaning" behind their names. Hope Danielle & Brady Joseph are after DH (Daniel Joseph). My mother passed away almost 10 years ago & her name is Theresa & I would like to incorporate that into a girls middle name, but we'll see what God gives us.

Re: Names -- OT
really like your children's names! Yes I like the meaning idea too. It's hard for me to realize that I get to name another one! So I'll have six kids and named only two - weird huh and I love talking about this -- I think it keeps everything so positive. I believe the female version is Thomas, you'll have to check. That would be nice, it's very hard to lose a parent.
Lots of other boards have just name ones -- I love lurking on those! So let's see --
Girls
Taryn, Addison, Abigail, Trudy, Camille, Talya, Sadee, Nadina, Amelia,
Boys
Zebulan, Nadin, Oscar, Calixte, Jackson, Hewey, Mason, Fredrick,
Note that my DH hates every name listed! and worries that we will now get hate mail! LOL

Re: Names -- OT
The only name we are both set on is Louise as a middle name if we have a girl. Both our grandmothers were named Louise.
Like Justine, DH disagrees with most of the names I like:
Girls: Amelia, Annabelle, Emma, Kate, Jillian, Natalie, Lily
Boys: Oliver, Adam, Elliott, Andrew
I love these posts!
And I love everyone's names!

Re: Names -- OT
If it was a boy we basically had his named picked out since he was to be named after DH dad and uncle, just weren't sure if we were gonna keep it Polish or americanize it to Andrew John...
For Girls it would of been
Ella Elizabeth-Grace
Julia Grace

Re: Names -- OT
Our first baby that we were adopting and then lost we named Logan Riley. He's still Logan to us, even though he never got to come and live with us.
Avery was going to be Kylie or Julia... for a long time. And when we finally decided on Avery and she was Avery Jensen (Jensen after my great-grandmother). Well we had some "issues" when Avery was born and DH went ahead and named her Avery Faith instead. Which I love too. If she was a boy she would have been named Julian after DH's late father.
I got to name Lilly. She is Lillian Rose. She came to us as "baby girl" and it took me five straight days of doing nothing but looking at baby name books, and just staring at her, etc., to name her. Finally I knew her name was Lilly. She is officially Lillian in case she wants a grown-up name when she grows up. And Rose is after her bmom.
Olivia came to us with a name, but it is a very strange name and when I tried to explain it to Avery she said, "No Mom, I think you mean her name is Olivia." And since then, Livi has been Olivia. I am thinking of naming her Olivia Elizabeth Marisol, after three of her aunts. And because it's very traditional Mexican to have a ton of names. I also like that Avery got to help name her baby sister. I personally wanted to name her Lacey, but that didn't work out so well.
When/if I have another baby I want to name her Addison. And I'm sure DH will want to name him Julian still if he's a boy.
