My dad passed away Friday night. He was calm and surrounded by me, DH, my brother and his wife. It was very peaceful. He is with my mom now. He was comforted in knowing that DH and I are starting another IVF cycle. He so badly wanted for us to have a child and he knew it would happen - IVF or adoption we will have a child. He suffered so long and the cancer recently spread. As some of you know, dad moved in with DH and me in December and I was his full-time caregiver. He told me last Tuesday that cancer sucks but it didn't all suck because he got to spend so much time with me. I loved my daddy so much, and my mom was my best friend. I will miss them always.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my Grandmother (who I was very close with) recently and I take comfort in knowing that she is with me every day looking down on me. Your Dad will follow your IVF journey and be an angel on your shoulder and in your heart full time now. I'm so very sorry.

My deepest condolences! I too recently lost my beloved father very suddenly. My thoughts are with you and your family at this tragic time. Relish in the memories and know that your father obviously loved you very much. The time you devoted to him was the best gift you could ever give him. We are all with you. Please post if you need to cry or vent.

Again, my deepest sympathy! I truly truly believe he is with his wife in the most happiest of places!
