I'm just getting back to you with regard to the picture - I had originally put the answer under a seperate post. sorry, not thinking straight these days.

I had purchased a Paul Stanley Limited Edition Painting as a Birthday gift for DH. Wentworth Gallery has VIP events when the artist has a showing, so since I had preordered we were all able to attend and got photos and a special dedication. Paul is really really into his art and the value is just skyrocketing. Paul is an actual graduate of Juliard (sp?)

The painting not only looks great in my home. My youngest AS, who is really named after his grandfathers is John "Jack" Paul Stanley (Last). So it truly means alot to my husband.

Also, DH toured with a famous band for a long time and while they were touring with Kiss he was with that tour for almost a year. He loves their music. I can't stand it. LOL

So I take it your DH is a musician, huh? Is he still doing his music or other things these days? I'm always amazed at how talented in other areas all these "rich & famous" folks are. Guess when you have a marketable creative talent like acting, singing, etc., many are inclined to be creative in other areas too (art, photography, cooking, design, etc.)...

Actually the painting in the photo was the painting I bought, well the original anyway. No DH is not a muscician. He grew up with a neighbor and best friend who ended up being a lead singer of a very famous band and in the early days, grew to be good friends with others, so he worked as a tour manager.

I wish he was a musician, although he does play the drums quite well. We actually own a pest and lawn company. far cry from the glam of rock and roll. and trust me so much of what you see, the drugs, women, etc. is a total fabrication. Most are average guys who love one girl and their families.

KWYM about the glamorous people living the most normal lives... I grew up in LA and in my high school class, about 1/3 of them stated they worked in the entertainment industry for our 10 yr reunion poll. And when I go to my sister's school's Halloween festival, its really nice to see the "famous people" there just being mom & dad to their kids. I agree, a lot of what you read is so made up, but I guess it sells!
