Default Lurker- Intro - Dust to all! have RE on 2/12 --

Ladies I've been lurking for a while. Wanted to start posting and offering support when I can and get help and advice as I start down this very scary road.

We will be doing PESE w/ IVF and ICSI possible AH and PGD. We have enough saved for two cycles than we will need to reavaluate and decide if we are going to max out every credit card currently tucked safely away for emergencies.

The one question I wanted to ask is how do you really deal with the stress of all this. I have not even been to the RE yet and I'm already crying over commercials and yelling over nothing.

DH is very supportive and says that at the end you will be a MOM again but this time will not drive and pick them up. (four out of our five children were adopted)

Dust - Dust - Dust to ALL!!!!!

Welcome!

Well, I don't have too much advice on how to deal with the stress. It's a really stressful time no matter what. I started Yoga, I rely on the ladies on this board, and I guess I just let myself grieve for a long time and the stress has somewhat subsided I think because I let myself grieve. I hope you find an okay way to cope with this and you rely on us when you need to.

I found acupuncture to be very helpful with the stress. See if you can find a practitioner that specializes in fertility issues. Also, scheduling yourself for a good massage or two while going through all of this and the waiting helps a lot. Talking for me was helpful, that's why I loved this place so much.

! I am a foster mom hoping to adopt right now. I also have a 4yo DD from a DEFET.

Keep us updated on how things are going. We love to !!!

Everyone here is so nice, supportive, and full of great information. I hope you won't have to stick around long though! And congratulations on your family - that's a lot of kids - you must have a great family!

For the stress I see a therapist twice a month, I exercise when I can especially walking, and I do craft projects. Visiting the message boards helps too. Seeing my therapist is a top priority for me because it really helps me to talk to someone who is not emotionally, physically, or financially involved in the whole process. I also have an incredibly supportive DH but I think we all do or they wouldn't be going down this road with us! I was going to try acupuncture but there isn't a practitioner near my home, and for me, the stress of driving an hour to get to one was worse than not going.

Good Luck!!

Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome. It certainly means alot. To know that I can post and receive kind words from others who do unfortunately know the pain and agony that we are dealing with is going to help a lot. Thank you.

Yes, we do have a very large family. We enjoy every minute of it and hoping to make it complete with #6! Please Please.

Dust to all!
