Looking for some success stories
Hi ladies,
So I just POAS again........4th time in 3 days.........STILL NEGATIVE! EVIL EVIL STICKS!!!!!!! My beta is tomorrow and I'm a nervous wreck. I'm trying SO hard to stay positive but its VERY hard without even the faintest of a line! I thought for sure all this heartache was behind me with this cycle. I just kept thinking to myself, I transferred 2 the 1st time and got pg (no heartbeat), then 3 the 2nd time and got pg (ectopic) and now this time transferred 4 and I'm HAVING A BABY! I'm putting my foot down and I'm HAVING A BABY! (dont you wish a tempur tantrum really did the trick?) I'm just loosing hope now after not even a hint of a line at 12dpo.
I'm SO petrified of another low beta, and riding that roller coaster of 'are we doubling' for 2 more weeks.......just to have my world ripped out from underneath of me a FOURTH time! And then again, I cant even imagine how devistating a BFN would be!
This 2ww has gotten the best of me ladies, its eating at my soul tonight. I can't even think straight!
PLEASE, Someone, ANYONE.......tell me you got all negatives at home and then a positive beta

Re: Looking for some success stories
hang in there! I really can not offer you any words of wisdom other then PEE STICKS ARE NOT FOOL PROOF! What brand did you use? Just some food for thought. Implantation can happen from 6dpo upto 12dpo and more commonly between 8dpo-10dpo, with that said it takes the body 24-48 hours before there are measurable levels of HCG!

Re: Looking for some success stories
Q: How accurate are the home pregnancy tests that say you can get a positive result 3, 4 or 5 days earlier than other tests, or 3-4 days before you have missed a period?
A: Because implantation usually happens 6-12 days after ovulation, it is always possible that early testing will be too soon. Clearblue Easy publishes on its website the following stats: “Clearblue Easy can be used as early at 4 days before you expect your period. That's 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period to test. The amount of pregnancy hormone increases rapidly in early pregnancy. In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples, Clearblue Easy gave the following results. 53% of pregnant women get results 5 days sooner. 74% get results 4 days sooner. 84% get results 3 days sooner, 87% get results 2 days sooner.” With their digital test, they say 55% get a positive result 3 days before a woman’s period is due, 87% 2 days before, and 92% one day before. First Response and Answer say “Answer Quick & SimpleŽ Early Result Pregnancy Test can detect the pregnancy hormone as early as 4 days before you expect your period. In clinical testing, AnswerŽ detected the hormone levels in 69% of women 4 days before their expected period, in 83% of women 3 days before their expected period, in 93% of women 2 days before their expected period, and in 93% of women 1 day before their expected period.”
''
* At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml.

Re: Looking for some success stories
Hi Renee,
I was just lurking tonight for the first time in a long time and saw your post. I had a negative hpt the day of my beta and was convinced I was not pregnant. Imagine my suprise when my dr. called with a positive! My beta was only 53 but I was pregnant. I worried for the entire 9 months but in Nov 2006 I gave birth to my beautifully healthy happy son, Max!
Good luck I will be thinking of you.

Oh I've seen it happen here more than once. Every now and then we see a negative peestick and then a positive Beta! Hang on. It's not over until it's over.

Re: Looking for some success stories
Hi Renee,
I'm a HUGE lurker but have been following your story (no i'm not a stalker hehehe). First off, i wish you the best of luck today! Second, a friend of mine had taken an FRER the day before AF was due, got a BFN, then 2 days later took another FRER, and got a positive! So, there is still hope!

Re: Looking for some success stories
Renee,
On my 3rd IVF, I POAS everyday after my trigger. It was completely negative for days. On 13dpo, I started having some brown staining which turned into pink spotting and then full on red flow. I called my RE and begged to quit taking my meds because it was obvious that I wasn't pregnant. They said absolutely not and I was totally pi$$ed off. The next morning, the bleeding was gone so I POAS for the heck of it. Would you believe it was positive?? I had to wait until 14dpo (9dp5dt) to even get a HINT of a positive?? How cruel is that?
Getting an early BFP is not common. That's why most pg tests say to wait until you've missed your period. Even the FRE early response say there's a percentage of PG women who will not get a positive until the day after a missed period. So, there's still hope!
Good luck and we're all pulling for you!!!!
