Jenna Noelle Is Here

Hi Ladies...only got a quick minute...this is my first time online since we got home Tuesday night. Jenna is still Jaundice, her billi number is 16.9...but it is stable there for 2 days now. It was as high as 18.5. That is when the PED put her under the lights and made us start supplementing her with formula. It came down after being under the lights with her stylish sunglasses. I was so sad to have to supplement and she started getting nipple confusion. Now we are using a special nipple to help with that and are giving a bottle every 3rd feeding for the entire feeding opposed to topping her off every feeding. She is right back to doing well with her latch. I pump when she gets that bottle. She is also down 13% from her birth weight. We keep going in for billi blood work and weight checks. She has a break over the weekend b/c her number stabilized. Monday she has a weight check. I'm hoping if she is gaining, I can stop supplementing with formula.

She is the most precious baby...I can't believe she is ours and she is here

I'm doing well. Still taking the occasional percocet for pain. DH is so great...he is taking care of me, Jenna, house, errands, phones and all updates. When we got home Tuesday night he had decorated the entire house with welcome home baby Jenna. He adores her so much! He is even helping me with BF. She is just beautiful!!!! Brooke lost almost one lb. the first few days after she was born. I would supplement AFTER I bf her and she gained quickly!!! You DH sounds like mine!! My gf's would tease mine and say, "If you could bf the baby then we bet you would!" :l Sounds like he's taking to Daddyhood just fine!!!

I forgot to mention what the PED has us doing for the Jaundice...feeding her every 2 hours...which means every 1 hour for mama by the time I get her done eating and we start all over in an hour...every 3rd bottle is the formula bottle...if the number goes up anymore...we will have to do the photoblanket at home, but since it's been stable for 2 days now...looking good. We were bringing her back and forth to the hospital everyday since we got home for billi checks...what a crazy week it's been. I'm so exhausted from all the feeding and it leaves no time for posting..I miss all of you! Each day gets easier and easier...like today...no billi check and a little free time to post

Also no problems with the previa...all was text book with my section I was sad that she was had to go under the lights in the nursery and we didn't get to see her for 36 hours unless we were feeding her...

Congrats! She is beautiful. You sound so happy and you bring a smile to my face.

Sorry she has had to do the jaundice thing. Avery did that. But they put her under the lights in my room with me as I was in for a week after giving birth. And I know what it's like to have to go for the blood test every day after that too. Ack! I remember being so sad that I had to supplement too and I wouldn't even do it, my sister did it for me. But, it all worked out fine in the end.

You and DH just enjoy the heck out of yourself. This time goes by quickly.

I am so happy to see momma and baby are doing well.
AJ had Jaundice, but passed quickly since he was bottle fed. I also uysed to open up the shades and let him get some light on him =)
