I did my Gonal F shot tonight, and ending up doing more then my dose on accident!!!! I had 150 left in one pen, and when I went to do the 75 in the other, I forgot to turn the inner dial so in total I ended up doing 375!! I am suppose to be doing 225!! So I freaked out, called the pharmacy and left a message with the on-call pharmacist. They never called back. So I went online and got the lifeline phone# on the Gonal F page. I talk to a VERY rude woman, that wasn't listening to me when I was explaining what happend. She kept saying "just don't do the other pen" And I said on the 3rd time "I ALREADY DID, THAT IS WHY I AM CALLING!!!!!' She was NO help, so I called my Dr's office and left a message for the on-call nurse. She called me back in 10 mins. I felt so bad, because it sounded like she was having dinner somewhere by the sounds in the background. But she said I was fine. That messing up once is ok, and to stay with my normal 225 dose tomorrow. I am already scheduled for blood work on Sun. So I am aok I guess....but I tell ya, when I looked at the pen after I did the second one and realized what I did I thought I was gonna loose it!!! Only me!!! Major blonde moment tonight....I will be sure to fully study the pen for future doses....goodness....

My dose has been between 225 and 375, so I'm sure it won't hurt you. One of my stim days I ran out of meds and only had half a dose left in the pen. I was so worried it would mess up my protocol, but it didn't. Live and learn.

I have to tell you that on my last round of IVF, they added gonal F and I took too much for a couple days before I figured it out. I'm a poor responder, but messing up gave me one more egg than usual and a BFP that stuck!
