Have you ever seen a ghost?

I am going crazy in this 2ww. I need some entertainment. You ladies always manage to entertain me. I was going to start a joke thread but I thought maybe that was too vague so I thought of this question: Have you ever seen a ghost?

I'll help -- True Story
We moved into a new home and my AS who was 2 at the time was playing in the front living room by himself while DH and I were organizing, etc. We heard him talking up a storm so we peeked around the corner and he is sitting on the floor arms wide open - saying Thanks, for coming over to play - I was bored. Do you want to play blocks, oh ok I'll listen to that book - it's my favorite -- how did you know that?

So at this point with our mouths wide open we said, Jack who came over to read you a book. He says, Nanny - she's right here and she loves me.

DH's Mom had passed away a year prior and that was his Nanny. He also told us more than once that she would come to him at night and rub his forehead to help him sleep. The same thing she had done to DH.

Freaky HUH!

Eek. Justine, you just gave me goosebumps as I read your response!!! But in a way, that's a really cool story. Nanny is still looking out for your family... and how sweet that she would rub his forehead to comfort him and help him sleep...

As far as me, nope, never saw a ghost. In some ways I'd be intrigued, but in others completely spooked. One of our neighbors down the street think there's a ghost in their house. There has been more than one occasion while they were working on their house (home improvement projects), one of them has seen a woman in a robe drifting through the hallway... eek!

I have not "seen" a ghost, but have on many occasions "felt" them in my prescence. I have that weird ability. I feel the prescence of a man in my house sometimes, but he is a good ghost. He's just hanging around. I think he had lived here at one time (my house was built in 1925). I have felt a "bad" ghost in this girls appartment one time. I was really cold and couldn't breathe and just wanted to exit immediatly. I felt the prescence of a ghost in another friends home. That I later found out they would see an old woman ghost walking around from time to time. Or hear her walking up the stairs.....So ya..I can't see them, but I can feel them!!!

Great topic - how fun!

I've never seen one, but I'm a believer. When I was in college I lived in my sorority house. Strange things would happen all the time. The hanging plant would spin with no breeze whatsoever. We would also smell a strong perfume flood the living area. Cabinet doors would be opened when we could swear we just closed them, It was kinda creepy. We hired a specialist to come in and we told that a college student had passed suddenly in an auto accident. She was stuck and couldn't pass over becuase she needed to live out her dream of going to college. We were encouraged to tell her it's ok to go and be friendly. I get the chills just remembering it. Reminds me of that show, Ghost Whisperer. DH and I watch it all the time, although DH is interested in her BBs. LOL

I like Justine's story better. It was warm and fuzzy.
