Has anyone had success with 4 eggs retrieved?

I had my ER this morning and they only retrieved 4 eggs. I am wondering if anyone has had success with such few eggs.
I knew I would have much less than others but I am concerned that the # is so low.

My friend was 31 and went thru IVF at the same time I did. She had 4 eggs, all fertilized, 3 were still growing on day 3, they transferred 3 and she has 18 month old twin boys!

All it takes is one!

Tanya, I know you are probably going to hear this a million times but like Dana said "it only takes one!"

My 3rd IVF resulted in retrieving only ONE mature egg. It fertilized, grew to blast, and we got pregnant that cycle. It can happen!!

Four is more than enough for a successful cycle.

Thanks so much! I feel much better now. Maybe I will sleep tonight! I just keep hearing all of these large numbers and then when my day came I only got 4 and that scared me. Thank you again for your support!

Tanya, I had 8 eggs with IVF #2....of the 8 eggs only 5 were good right off the bat. By day 3 we had 3 that looked good and one that was not so good. We transferred all 4 and I got 1 baby girl. It does happen with just ONE good egg. I've been on these board since 2004 and I've seen plenty of BFP's with just a few good eggs. Think positive!

I had 5 eggs retrieved my last cycle.. had 2 to tx (a 6 cell and 5 cell). I am 25 weeks preggo w/ baby Caroline!

Thanks for your posts gals-they really made me feel better. Well, I got the call this morning that two fertilized and transfer is Friday. But ya know...we were only going to transfer two anyway, so I guess I shouldn't be bummed! I am hoping for excellent quality embryos that do implant, even if it is just two!
