FET Question!!
Hey Ladies.......
So if all goes well at my BW and US appt on thursday, I'm exactly a week away from my FET (4/21). I have 6 frozen embies from my last fresh cycle. (I had an ectopic pregnancy for the newbies just tuning in). 2 were frozen as soon as they fertilized and 4 were frozen on day 3. I really dont remember if they graded them previous to freezing, or should I say if they told me what the grade was, but they were able to put back 3 grade A embies with no fragmentation from my last fresh cycle so I'm hoping that it was a good batch all around. The first fresh cycle I barely made it to tx (2 morulas came home on day 5) and had nothing to freeze so what you ladies say is true........every cycle really IS different!!
My question is about the thaw.........when does that happen?? And what are the chances of them all surviving the thaw?
We've already been told that RE will once again put 3 back. I guess they'll pick the best of the bunch once again - which leads me to belive that the other 4 frozen on day 3 of my last cycle were not as good of quality as from my fresh cycle transfer??! (ok, I'm rambling now, right?)
Any input ladies?!??!
I'm so nervous and excited! I've been lucky with bfps so far, once I crossed over into IVFland that is, well i should say I've been lucky with Ps, but they were never BF ones...lol...here's hoping this is the cycle where all that turns around and i FINALLY carry a baby (or two) to term!!! Here's to NO MORE roller coasters!
BIG FAT POSITIVE HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!

Re: FET Question!!
They thaw them the day of the transfer...usually in the morning. I cant wait to hear how they do!!
When I did my fet I had 5 frozen and 3 made the thaw. It can usually be like 50.50 but EVERYONE is different...some have them all make it!!

Re: FET Question!!
mine thaw the day before. i got a call that 3 of the 4 made it. i always get details and i if over 50% of the cells remain intact it's a good thaw. i had a 7 cell than retained all cells (was a 9 the next day), a 8 cell that retained all cells (was a 9 the next day), and a 8 cell that only retained 3 cells but was a 4 cell the next day. this was the first time i ever lost any at the thaw so since it sounds like you have good embies, you should be fine. and i always had perfect embies for my fresh cycles but they never took. and, these were still a grade 2+ and a grade 3 (highest is 4 but no one gets that, only a 3+). only tough cookies survie the unthaw so that's why i think i get pregnant. i get the stubborn ones
is the only way this cycle will go

Re: FET Question!!
Hi!
I had 2 frozen cycles. The first FET we decided to thaw 2 and both made it (they were frozen on day 5). The second FET we had 3 frosties left and decided to thaw all 3 (they were also frozen on day 5) but only 2 survived the thaw...but of those 2 ended up being my son now!
Good luck!!

Re: FET Question!!
My one successful cycle we thawed five that were 2PN and transferred on day 3. We had 2-8 cells, 2-4 cells and one ragged looking 6 cell. We had one little baby. I always thought she was my stubborn little six cell that made the thaw even though it wasn't the best looking thing.
Good luck!
