Fertilization Report
Got the call this morning that of the 16 follicles, 14 were mature and were ICSId with TESE sperm. Of those 14, 6 embryos were doing well this morning. I have to admit I am a bit disappointed but I am trying to stay positive.
The cycle we did that resulted in my daughter had 15 fertilize normally. Of those, 9 were from fresh sperm and turned out to be all genetically abnormal. The remaining 6 were from TESE sperm and our daughter was the lone, genetically normal embryo from that batch. DH says that having the same number this time with TESE sperm is great news and he is very optimistic. All I can say is I need your thoughts and prayers. I really want him to be right! I hope 6 is our good luck charm.
I start my progesterone shots tonight. Instead of PIO, its in ethyl acetate so it can be stored at room temp and it's a bit less thick and gooey. Any of you out there done this IM? Just curious if it's better than PIO and if you have any tips/hints/tricks?
Thanks for all your support!!!!! I haven't told anyone we are even cycling so it's nice to have a place to come and get advice, help, prayers, etc.
