Ok girls, so I had my egg retreival yesterday, they took out 22 eggs : ) Today they called us, out of those 22 fifteen were matured, and ALL 15 fertilized, so they will call us on Thursday to see if we'll do a three day transfer, but by all the looks it seems we will do a five day transfer which will be on Saturday.

Not to scare off anybody but the ER was extremely painful, well not actual procedure but afterwards, the doc. says they don't prescribe narcotics, you are only allowed to take Tylenol and yesterday I had cramps worse than chidlbirth, I actualy passed out in the bathroom at home. Today is a little better, although I'm still bedridden.

Sorry to hear that you are in pain. I was in extreme pain since my egg retrieval which was last Monday until Sunday. They really had to work at getting my eggs since some were behind my bladder. Hang in there. It will get much better. But your fertility report looks awesome. I hope everything goes well for you. Lots of luck!

Ainara, I'm sorry you are experiencing such awful post-ER pains. I guess everyone is different. Despite that, your fert report sounds awesome with all 15 mature ones fertilizing!!! Can't wait to hear if you will be doing a 3-day or 5-day transfer!!!

Ainara - I'm so sorry you were in so much pain. I had the opposite experience - they sent me home with narcotics, and I didn't take them or even any tylenol because I had no pain (not sure if I had enough anesthesia during the procedure to cover me the rest of the day, though) Could be because they got so many eggs from you. Fantastic news that 15 fertilized!

15 out of 15 is AMAZING!! and i get sent home w/ darvocet. why can't you take drugs? crazy but it's over w/ and it will be worth it!!! but, i took the drugs after my ER's. now i'm wondering why they said you couldn't

Exactly it makes no sense to be in absolute pain for two days (or in my case it looks like 4 days) before it will pose a risk to a developing fetus, if you take narcotics it will wash out about 8 hours after you take the last pill, so by egg transfer there will be no "drugs" in your system. I was kind of pis*** with the nurses but C'est la Vie, hopefuly the worst is over...

Well crud, that stinks that they wouldn't help you out with the pain! My clinic always did.

I think you got a fantastic bunch though! 15 is terrific!
