Exercise
I know this has been covered ad nauseum on the board but I was wondering if anyone's RE had given specific guidelines for what was and wasn't acceptable for exercise during a cycle. I am afraid to run even though I am sooooo slow and will only do it about 3 -4 times per week for about 1/2 hr each time. MY Re seemd noncommital so I was wondering what yours all said.
I may just walk but I'd rather run.
TIA

Re: Exercise
My instructions were - once stimming occured - No strenous exercise, to include but not limited to, tennis, running, swimming, weightlifting, aerobics and bicycling.
My RE seems very strict compared to some. Interesting to see what everyone else says.
GL - can't wait to cheer on your cycle!!

Re: Exercise
Hey Renee,
My RE who seems to be pretty 'laid back' says NO STRENOUS EXCERSICE.........AT ALL! From transfer until Beta. She doesnt say anything about Stims phase or previous to transfer if you're doing FET.

Re: Exercise
Absolutely no strenuous exercise per my RE, I even stopped walking on the treadmill. Too many worries about ovarian torsion.

Re: Exercise
Yeah, mine said after stimming started nothing too strong, walking was fine, swimming, and such, after transfer nothing until heart beat was detected. I, personally, did not do anything, not that it is very hard to get me to stop exercising LOL.

Re: Exercise
Renee, with my last stimming, I thought that I will avoid strenous exercise and do only light exercise. So I got on a stationary bike - the recumbent type and cycled at a slow to moderate pace. But at this point my ovaries were enlarged and my tummy portruded out (even more than regular. hehehe). Then my thighs hit against my tummyas I cycled and boy was that PAINFUL.........ouch. My ovary hurt for a day or so.
So I would defintiely NOT recommend it. I would suggest trying soemthing that you can do standing up and no touching of tummy to anything!

Re: Exercise
Thanks for the responses, girls. After hearing from you I think I am definitely just going to walk for the next few weeks before I start stimming. I will definitely be taking it easy before and after ER and ET too (as always:-)
Thanks!
