The calculations for my EDD say August 28th and that I am 4 weeks 6 days PG, but my ER was only 2 weeks 6 days ago. Do they begin calculating pg from date of follicle stimulation (or 1st day of cycle)??? That is the only way i would be 4 weeks and 6 days. I am just a bit confused about the calculations and how they are done.

ET 12/11
BFP 12/19

Several of you have calculated Aug 28 as EDD and so did the web site so that must be pretty accurate, but confused on how that date is determined since again it states that it makes me 4 weeks 6 days pg now.

Amy- EDDs are calculated in a regular cycle from first day of LMP. So it's almost like you are pregnant before you even conceive if you think about it. The age of the fetus will always be about two weeks less than where you are in your pregnancy as that is generally when you ovulate and conceive. For IVF they calculate it based on your ER date as that is a simulation of your ovulation. If you used that calculator I showed you, you can calculate based on LMP too and it will come within a day of the EDD you got when entering your ER date. Hope that wasn't more confusing.
