11/2001- cornual ectopic ruptured, emergency surgery, lost right tube and quite a bit of uterus
8/2002 - I was there to welcome our adopted son, Riley, into the world, cut the cord, first to hold him
4/2008 - uterine miscarriage (I thought that tube was blocked?!)
5/2008 - chose RE for IVF
6/2008 - learned that I have an odd shaped uterus but that my remaining tube is in fact open
7/2008 - met with RE to discuss surgery on uterus and future procedures in hopes of having a 2009 baby!

once i heal i will move to adoption of an infant domestically. i've already said goodbye (in my head) to that $30k. but if that is what it takes to bring a home to a child and bring a sibling to shelly, it's worth it!

I am so sorry this happened . . .

I hope the continued journey that brings you your next baby will eventually help heal your heart and spirit. Every obstacle, every painful step in this IF journey puts a scar on our hearts but in the end, when you see your family completed (however that may come about), it will all make sense.

In the beginning, I never thought I would end up using donor eggs and I mourned the loss of having a bio child with DH but when I look at my babies, I couldn't want any other children. I'm sure you know that feeling as well as I do when you look at your little Shelly. But I know that doesn't make it much easier right now . . . my heart goes out to you sweetie.
