Well I think I caught a cold from my students. They've had runny noses and bad coughs all winter but I try to wash my hands as much as possible and usually I'm pretty resistant but not this time! All weekend I've been nursing a running/stuffed up nose, mild cough, and on and off sore throat. I think I'm getting a little better- I've basically stayed in bed all weekend and drank tons of liquid and ate lots of soup- but it's still lingering.
I really can't take off of work this week- 100th day of school and V-Day are BIG deals in a kindergarten room! So any suggestions for me? I know I can't really take any meds and I don't think I would even if the doctor oked it. I guess I'm looking for natural remedies...

Make sure and take some vitamin C. and some zinc. I hope you feel better. I have a cold right now too, and I am miserable but since my next cycle isn't for quite a while longer I have been taking medicine.

Oh MBD sorry to hear you're sick. Fluids is the best thing and you've got that covered. The health food store might have some alternative options. Do you have a Trader Joe's, Whole Foods or something similar near you? Also, I've heard cold symptoms are common pg sx. I haven't seen that mentioned so much lately on theses boards, but last year when I was on I saw it all the time.

BTW. I used to be an afterschool kindergarten counselor. I'd get them from arounf noon until 6pm. I love that age group.

Fluids and chicken soup girl. It's about the best thing there is for a cold. And, YES!, nasal congestion, cold symptoms are a biggy for pg symptoms!

When I got my BFP, I had major cold symptoms. Runny/stuffy nose, congestion, sore throat. All out of the blue. Good luck!
