Icon11 Can I?

Now that it has been more than 24 hours since my ET, can i lay on my side or sit up a little more? I feel like I have moved way too much. i mean, they don't expect you to lay flat on your back and not move do they? I am starting the paranoid phase now...

My RE wanted 48 hours of bedrest. I was allowed to get up to eat and to use the restroom. No showers, hothing else uprght, It sucked, I had an awful backache! But I lived thru it, That being said, many a woman left her ET and never laiddown and got preggo. The bottom line, do whatever you can handle. I so hope this is it for you!

Meg my RE is one of the best in Houston (and most successful) Dr. Timothy Hickman, he said that when he started practicing the ladies had to be admitted to the hospital and be on bed rest for about a week, later on they pushed this rule back to about 4 days, then he started practicing in a military base and most ladies had to board a military plane (not commercial) to go home right after the transfer, and the success rate was about the same with the ladies that stayed in bed. When I had mine he said that bed rest is more tradition than anything else. Of course we want to make sure that we do anything in our power to get those embabies to stick, but you don't have to be on your back for 24 hours, he told me to be in bed with restricted movement, you know I could get up to go to the bathroom, eat something, and I could be propped up 45 degrees, and I could lay on my side too, and hey I did get pregnant.

I only laid on my side and got pregnant with twins... and I sat up with my laptop a good bit also. I don't even think I stayed in bed the whole time.Don't overdo it, but don't torture yourself by forcing yourself to stay on your back if that isn't comfortable. Good luck!!!!!!
