This is a discussion on beta #2 within the Invitrofertilization (IVF) forums, part of the Trying to Conceive - Infertility category; beta #1-266
beta #2-437
, what do you girls think, it didn't double...
That seems good to me - even though it's not a perfect double. What did you doctor/ nurse say? Check out these websites which are also mentioned in the IVF tips & suggestions thread:
Hi - I'm an old grad and frequent lurker. I'm basically copying a recent post I put on another non-doubling beta thread. Your numbers are better than my first few, so please don't give up hope!
The doubling rule is a bit of a misnomer as the guideline is really just going up 66% over two days, not 100% over two days. There is another statistic that says 80% of successful pregnancies have betas that double every two days. The other 20% of successful pregnancies don't double every two days. That is a lot of healthy pregnancies that aren't doubling. Yours went up just a couple points shy of 66%, so close enough!
Mine came no where near doubling at first. They were 181, 232, 361 and then finally 892. All were 2 days apart. That baby is upstairs napping right now. ; ) I was a nervous wreck at the time, but when I posted here several people that had non-doubling betas and healthy pregnancies reassured me that plenty of people do fine with non-doubling betas.
Good luck!

I found this on this sight Free hCG Calculator calculates your hCG levels - BabyMed.com.
Both your betas are above avergae for your days past "O".
I think it is a great rise and with those numbers sometimes you have Twins and one stops growing and the number dont quite double. I dont think that is the case,I htink all is well!
Didn't you say in an earlier thread that you transferred three blasts? Maybe all three attached and now only two are growing because those are pretty high betas despite not doubling.
