American Idol (OT)
American Idol fans -- what a great night by the guys!
I DVR'd the show tonight, and I rewound and listened to David Cook's version of Lionel Ritchie's song "Hello" about 10 times. How smokin hot was that performance? The way he looked into the camera made me melt. It totally gave me butterflies, just like in 7th grade when my boyfriend Ryan kissed me for the first time at the skating rink. I feel like I'm 12 all over again!

Nicky, I agree. He was on fire. Brilliant arangement. It reminded me of 8th grade when I used to play Lionel Richie's album over and over while dreaming of my first love.Tonight was the first night I actually voted. It was a great show. I think Luke is going home.

I was skeptical when David Cook started out, since "Hello" was one of my favorite songs back in the day, but I have to say I really liked the arrangement. I was glad to hear Simon say he liked it too because I thought it was the best of the night.
I think Luke and the other David (Hernandez) are going home. And is it just me, or isn't that Celine Dion/Meatloaf song a 1990's song and not a 1980's song? I remember listening to that on the radio with my office-mate in 1996.
O.K. anyone else remember the "Breakfast Club" song that Michael Johns sang last night? When Randy said it was by INXS, I screamed and DH was like "what's wrong?!!" (he was worried because I was still laying on the couch recovering from a very painful ER) and I said "no, I'm fine, but Simple Minds did that song - not INXS - you'd think Randy would know that!!!"
