I'm on my month off (BCP) to get ready for my next fresh cycle and I'd really like to add acupuncture this time around. I know it has made the difference for so many of you.

I'm just not sure how to find someone in my area who specializes in IF. I've already asked my RE's office and they don't recommend anyone. My RE doesnt really believe in it (so her Office Manager says but I'm going to ask her directly if I can EVER get her on the phone!)

Can anyone recommend a good resource where I can find someone or better yet, anyone in my area (NJ) know of anyone?

Renee, I'm doing acupuncture this cycle for the first time and I'm really enjoying it. It totally relaxes me and if that's all it does that's perfect! My family doctor does acupuncture but not for IF so he recommended someone but she was over an hour away. I found mine through my RE's office. If your RE doesn't know of anyone ask your gyn or family doctor. I know my gyn is all about alternative therapies and has brochures in her office for massage, acupuncture, yoga, etc. I'm sorry I don't know of anyone in your area but I'm sure you will find someone and I hope it makes a difference for you

Wish you were close enough to go to my acupuncturist, as she specializes in IF and did some joint studies with my 2 REs. But alas, I think the commute would be just a bit much...

I will email my acupuncturist and see if she has any recommendations/referrals... PM me where you are and what cities are closest and I'll ask...

The sooner you start, the better. I know they like some lead time to work with you before you start all your meds/ER/ET...

Call your RE's office. My old office offered IF Accupuncture and yoga, but also knew where to refer you if you didn't want to go to them.
