Icon10 What's Up, Ladies??

Hey all,

It's been awhile since all of us posted and gave updates on IF issues and ttc or those who already have IF babies. Let's do it and find out what's new with everyone. I'll go first.

Connor and Aaron, my IVF/ICSI babies, will turn 3 on November 12. I can't believe how fast time went! I felt like I was ttc forever and then that I was pg for an eternity. The boys keep me really busy and I'm fortunate to be a SAHM but my DH is a very hands-on dad. Connor and Aaron speak in sentences, are interested in and can tell me all the planets in the solar system, and are my two sweetie pie angels. Aaron has no interest in potty training. Connor will go on the potty once in awhile. I suppose no mother ever sent her kids off to college in Pampers, so we have time!

As for me, DH is interested in having another child but right now I feel too overwhelmed with my boys. They are good kids, but so energetic and I just don't know where midnight feedings, sleepless nights, and that constant stream of new-baby visitors would fit in to life right now. If it happens, great. If not, it's God's will. I won't do IVF again -- it really took a toll on my body coupled with the multiples pg. I'm not sure I could do all that again. To you ladies doing IVF, a thousand cheers to you! I'm glad I got my boys out of it and I consider myself so blessed.

Something I have to share. I play this game with the boys -- the I Love You game. I say I love you. The child says it back. Then, I say I love you more and the child repeats it. Then, I love you most and the same. Well, Connor has managed to one up me on this -- he says, "Mommy, I love you all my best." And now he says it all the time even when we aren't playing the game. It is the most precious thing. Makes all of those big PIO shots worth every painful pinch!

Oh and one more thing... I'm dieting and trying to lose those last few pounds of baby weight. After 3 years, I think that those pounds and fat cells are stuck to me like glue. Go away, fat!

Karen

Hey Karen!

Here's my update....Keegan is 2 1/2 years old now, and is incredibly vocal and talkative. He is incredibly bright, knows his ABC's backwards and forwards, can identify them out of order, and can on occasion tell you what letter a word starts with. He was IVF. Drake was au natural, he is 10 months old now and threatening to walk. He is sweet and happy and is going to be a total little stinker and get away with murder because of it! He's going to be my climber, and will probably be out of the crib on a regular basis before Keegan even! Keegan has no real interest in potty training yet either, so I am not pushing it.

As for the next, really Karen, while I know the twins may feel overwhelming, I know you could definitely handle having another. A single pg would be much easier on you, and it's amazing how much more relaxed you are when it's the second time around. It's a world of difference.

There's my update. We may go for another in about a year. I have lost all the baby's weights, plus 7 pounds. I am looking to lose about 6-8 more just to be comfortable, but I am not stressing over it. If I can start my next pg 15 pounds less than I started with Keegan, that would be great.

Hello Ladies,

I am the "old timer" here so to speak. I have been visiting this site and the one before it {epregnancy} for several years now. I found the site in a magazine and have really enjoyed chatting here. I am no longer ttc or even wanting to. Our first two children are adopted from Korea and our youngest who is now 8 years old was a "natural" pregnancy. I have tried IVF in the past (between the two oldest kids) but it didn't work for us even though we had 8 embryos.

I am excited to announce that one of our horses is pregnant after two attempts at the breeders. We found out by ultrasound just a few weeks ago. This is almost as exciting for us as our own pregnancy. The horse baby is due August 1st. The girls are very excited. We have 3 horses right now and are enjoying them very much. We love to trail ride and barrel race. Lindy who is 11 now, is becoming very good at it. DH isn't to bad either.

Take care and have a great weekend. Karen this update is a great idea. I hope we many more posts.

Bilinda

I'm so glad to see so many old timers on this board again. Does anyone ever hear from Evie?

As many of you know I'm pg with IVF miracle baby #2. I'm 15 weeks today and feeling pretty good. I get tired easily and don't have as much time to sleep as I used to. I've gotten pretty used to it. My last u/s showed it's probably a boy this time. He won't commit until later. I'm probably doing an amnio soon, so it will confirm the gender. We have no preference, just healthy. Although, knowing will help us come up with a name and help me with the nursery decissions.

Siena turned 3 last months and she's so much fun. She's our first IVF miracle. We have full conversations now. Sometimes I think I'm talking to a teenager! She started preschool three months ago and she loves it. We're getting ready to put her in a big girl bed and she's very excited. She's been potty trained for about 6 months now, but still doesn't like pooping on the potty. She has trained herself to go in her overnight diaper! I'm planning on working on this once she get's her bed.

I hope to hear more updates from everyone. What's going on Frani?

Babydust!

Hey girls!

It's so nice to hear all of your updates! Joanne, I haven't heard from Evie in ages....but, I sent her an e-mail today, hopefully she'll respond!

Cooper & Claire are now 2 years old (going on 13 most days though!) and are doing great! Cooper is still much bigger than Claire...at their 2 year checkup he was 28 pounds, 35 inches and Claire was only 23 pounds, 33 1/2 inches!

They are both now talking up a storm...Claire in full sentences and Cooper is finally talking, we were getting a little worried about him. They are definitely keeping me on my toes and I'm now missing the days were I was actually in charge of what they ate, wore and did....now they have minds of their own! Claire has decided that she is a big girl now and has pretty much potty trained herself. Cooper, on the other hand, is obsessed with the bathroom, but unfortunately not for the right reasons....he loves to climb into the toilet (literally!), flood the bathroom with water and basically make any kind of mess that he can when mommy's not looking! Our little escape artists are also now in "big beds" because they thought that climbing in and out of their cribs was a very fun game!

I took them to a farm this past weekend with 3 of my friends that also have twins. It was a little hectic, but I still managed to take some pics. Here is a link if anyone is interested:

Hi!
I did an update a bit ago so I will not bore you again

James was conceived after 5 inseminations using Injectables -
He turned 3 in September and is an adorable little guy. We have a ton of fun together BUT we are also dealing with some terrible 3's too.....

We conceived Megan au natural and she was born in March
SO hands are full but I love it.
Megan has proven to be a very easy and well natured baby - I have never felt so blessed.
She is so good I am not sure we will not go for number 3 but I have had a few health issues come up so we will see.

I am a SAHM and love it. It did take awhile for me to say that though
I will start my business next fall slowly when James starts preschool -
Oh by the way he has NO interest in potty training - not stressing either...

Steve is also doing wonderfully

Well that is us!!

Frani
