Icon5 What about TRs?

Has anyone considered or went through with a TR? I am a SAHM of 2. I have a 6 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. They are just 14 months apart in age and after my son I opted to have a TL. My son is autistic and that has been a struggle and I was glad that I had done that. Now he is almost 7 and his autism has turned out to be a blessing and he is now been down graded from the sterotypical autistic child to high functioning autistic. Now that he is more independent I have been regretting the TL I had done 6 years earlier. My husband and I actually decided to have a TR 2 years ago and I found a site for Mexico reversals that was around $6000.00 cheaper then here. We had the appointment and were on our way. I chickened out. We ended up in New Orleans instead. I just couldn't imagine going to another country where the english and technology was so far behind and I couldn't go through with it. Has anyone else thought about this prosedure? I live in the Fort Worth area of Texas currently but will be moving back to the shreveport/Bossier City area of Louisiana in a month or so. Does anyone know of the procedure done anywhere near that area and has anyone gone through with it that can give me some insite on it? Thakns so much and sorry about the L O N G post! Jessica

Hello,
I had my tubes reversed by a doctor in KY. Very good doctor and hospital. It cost about $7000. I ended up with 6 cm on both sides. They're open healthy tubes. Although I havent gotten pg yet, my TR doctor does free infertility care if you dont get pg. Here is the website www.babies-by-levin.com I just thought jump in and say it is possible. Through this guy if you dont have the $$$ already, you can take one of his payment plan options and pay $$ each month until you have it all.

My TR is set (w/ the dr in Mexico you spoke of) for May 13 of this year. I've heard countless women say that the hospital is small, and you ARE in another country, the care is much, MUCH better than here in the states. I will admit, I was a little skeptical about going across the border, too. But, after seeing hundreds of pictures and talking to women who have gone before me, I'm no longer concerned. The hospital is an American Red Cross hospital! The surgeons are incredibly well spoken and reassuring. I completely understand your apprehension. I, too, looked into Dr Levin, and had the cost been lower, I might have gone there myself. But, I know that when I want something, I want it right now!! And, I have the money to go to Mexico and get started on my TTC journey much faster than having to pay money each month for something that I can't have just yet. I wish you the best of luck with whatever dr you decide. You may want to check out the various message boards associated with most TR doctors. Almost all have a message board attached to their practice.. you can find lot of info that way!
