We Need To Get This Board Going!!!!

I know there are a bunch of people on this site that are suffering from IF. This board has died down to practically nothing. We need to support each other in this difficult part of our daily lives. Who better to chat with than someone who knows exactly what you are going through? Introduce yourselves and let's get this board going again!

My name is Kari. DH and I have been married for 8+ years and TTC the whole time. We did 3 rounds of unmedicated donor iui's 2/04-4/04 then 3 rounds of 50mg Clomid 5/04-7/04. We used OPK's to predict ovulation and went the morning after the surge was detected for the iui. No luck! We took a break for 3 years then switched clinics and did 3 rounds of 100mg Clomid 9/07-11/07. This clinic does u/s to monitor the follicles and when they have at least one reach 18mm they have you do a trigger of Ovidrel and come in 36 hours later for the iui. #3 was successful for us but ended in missed miscarraige and D&C at 12 weeks. We are now on a two cycle break before we are going to be able to TTC again. Hopefully luck will be on our side and we will be able to have our bundle of joy late 08-early 09!

I'm Ranee. Married for almost 5 years. We've been ttc#2 for about a year or two. I've kinda lost track of time. I've been doing Clomid 100mg for the last four cycles and the Dr added Estrogen and Progestrone this last cycle(4). So far AF still hasn't showed up but that's no surprise. She likes to torture me. I tested

My cycles go anywhere from 28-33 days. So there is still a chance AF might show up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello, I'm Deanna! I spoke to you some on the IUI board. I too am on a break following surgery. DH & I have been together 6+ years (married 2+) and have been TTC #1 for and little over 1.5 years. We tried naturally for the first 11 mths before moving onto Clomid for 3 mths. We tried Clomid/ HCG trigger with IUI in Oct 07. We have been dealing with several issues: I have endometriosis (most of which was removed 12/27), a uterine septum (also removed 12/27), and DH has a varicocele in his left testicle which has caused a low sperm count as well as motility problems. DH is scheduled to have a procedure to correct the varicocele 2/15. Following my surgeries, our RE wants us to TTC naturally for 6 mths. We are hoping and praying that the surgeries we have and are going through lead us to our ultimate goal: to have a healthy, beautiful baby!!! I return to the RE 2/05 for a recheck... hopefully we will be able to resume TTC next cycle (should begin 2/15)!!!

Kari - when do you go back to see the RE? Hopefully he/she will give you the ok to begin TTC again!!! This may be too personal, and you don't have to answer if it is, but are IUI or IVF your only options? Are you dealing with male factor IF? Dealing with IF has been the most difficult thing I've ever dealt with in my life, and I've only dealt with it for a little over a year and a half... I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you. I hope that you soon have your healthy, beautiful baby as well!!!

ooops! I'm starting to lose my mind... my IUI was in Nov... Oct was only Clomid. See what TTC does to you: It makes you nuts...LOL

My DH has 0% morphology which the RE said that we only have about 5% chance of it working by IVF 0% through IUI so we are using a donor. I get to go back to the RE after I have one normal cycle so we can start back on my second period. We are hoping to have success with the iui again my RE seems hopeful because we really don't have the money to do IVF especially with DH's company closing and him taking a huge pay cut with his new job. But at least he has a job now right?! Good luck with the surgeries and hopefully we will both all BFP's very soon!

I'm glad your DH was able to find a new job... I remember when you had said that he was losing his old one. Hopefully the IUI works for you again!!! IVF is so expensive.... even though DH and I both work it was kind of out of the question for us before because of that reason. Now we are getting a little better answers and hopefully we'll be able to get pg on our own now... I was floored when I got the med bills for my surgery... they added up to over $25K, so I guess what ever it takes, we're willing to endure so that we can have a baby. Thank goodness for insurance is all I have to say!

How is your cycle looking so far?

Still haven't seen AF since my d&c 1/9. Hopefully she will be coming soon so we can get on the TTC track.
