Sue!
I can't believe you're due in a few weeks. How are you feeling? Did you pick a name for him yet?
Was this pregnancy different than the first? I'm trying to talk dh into trying again next year.
Good luck!

Hi Sue!
I'd like to know the answers to Joanne's questions. How are you feeling? You've been so quiet!

Re: Sue!
Hey guys!
Sorry so quiet, I was incredibly busy at work up until last week - now we're on our Fall break through Thanksgiving, and unless he comes early, I only have to go back for a week after that. He's technically due December 8th, based on original u/s, but accd to my LMP, he should be due the day after Thanksgiving. He and I are HUGE! There have been lots of differences this pg, and I don't know if it's because I wasn't pumping the drugs for the first 12 weeks this time, or if it's just different, but with Keegan, I had AWFUL m/s all the way up until 14 weeks. This time, no m/s UNTIL 14 weeks, and then it was manageable but lasted until about week 18 or so. I am about the same weight gain-wise, give or take 2 pounds, but I have not swollen up this time like last so either I won't (which is GOOD) or it just hasn't kicked in yet. The acid reflux is MUCH better this time. Last time it was AWFUL for the last 8 weeks, so far it's only occasional.
Let's see, what else... Oh, his name is going to be Drake. Drake Logan-Callahan Grimaldi. A mouthful, I know, but aka Drake Grimaldi. I am trying to nest, but overwhelmed, because we have to have construction done on our shower in the next week or so, plus I have a pressure to get Xmas done before he gets here too, and I am worried he's going to show up early. Keegan knows what a baby is (can show me pictures, and he points to my belly (slaps it actually ) and says "baby" but I don't think he has really put 2+2 together to realize that one is going to become the other and come home with mommy. He is very much a mommy's boy right now, so I expect him to get quite jealous.
I think I answered all your questions! I definitely think you and DH should start trying! You may be as surprised as I was and it will "just happen" the second time. Good luck, and thanks for checking up on me!
Sue

Re: Sue!
Hi Sue!
Sounds like things are going a bit better this time around. Yeah! I LOVE the name you picked out. The girls are going to fall for him for the name alone!
I'm sure Keegan is going to have his moments for sure, but once he gets used to the idea of being big brother, I bet he is going to love it. What an exciting time for you and your family.
I really understand the pressure you feel about Christmas. I've been agonizing over it a tad myself. There is just so much to do and prepare for and I've been running into road blocks with my nursery items being postponed on delivery. I had hoped to be long done with the nursery by now. I told my DH we HAVE to shop this weekend for Christmas presents and have to start wrapping. Soon, I've got to get going on Christmas cards. So since items are delayed for the nursery, we'd better get going on Christmas or all those gift ideas may have a problem being shipped. DH is never too concerned... he is a last minute shopper... but then he usually only has to shop for me. This year he is going to have to help. I'm getting far too big and awkward to carry packages through the malls myself.
I've got to hand it to you Sue... you sound so calm and on top of things. Maybe its because I'm a first timer, but I feel like time is ticking away from me.
Keep us posted on things. Now that you are this close we are going to be wondering and worrying about you when we don't hear something. I'm very excited for you and can't wait for little Drake's arrival! Hoping you have a speedy, safe and painless delivery.

Re: Sue!
Sue:
OMG, in a matter of a few weeks, you'll be the mommy of two. How exciting. I know how hard it is to get motivated when you have one running around. I always holiday shop early because DH's family is Jewish and I'm never sure when we are going to celebrate Hanukkah. Fortunately, this year, it comes early and so, I can spend the rest of December enjoying the fun of Christmas prep work like baking, decorating and such. The boys found their Christmas presents already (well, it wasn't hard since I hadn't hidden them!). One of the toys is a play microwave that Aaron loves. It's in the box but he can press the buttons and get it to work. He loves it. I suppose I should just give it to him and be done with it. Why bother wrapping it?
Lots of luck to you in the final preparation stage for little Drake's arrival. Can't wait to see pics. I'm sure Keegan will cope. It's an adjustment, but just think how wonderful it is for him to have a brother! Connor and Aaron love each other, although they fight and hit each other, too. It's a toddler thing!
Love,
Karen
