Icon11 Still Preggers....

Well, once again the induction did not work. No babies still. We went into the hospital Tuesday night to initiate induction with gel... got monitored for a few hours and sent home to get a good night's sleep. We went back into the hospital early Wednesday morning and I got hooked up to the IVs and Pitocin was started. I had a regular contraction pattern going about every 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, but nothing to make the babies want to come out. I was sent home once again.

Now the plan is to wait and see what happens until Tuesday the 8th (my due date) and if the babies haven't come on their own by then, I will have a c-section. In the meantime, I will be heavily monitored by my doctors to ensure both babies continue to do well.

Other than that, we are all doing well. The babies seem to be very happy and healthy and I am working off the swelling caused by my Pitocin IV.

Mom is watching my every motion and movement and questioning every little sigh I make to see if I'm in labor yet. I feel like the proverbial watched pot that never boils.

Cross your fingers and hope for the best!

Ugh!!! Don't they know how excited we are to meet them? Or how many people have waited so long for their arrival?

Hang in there and hopefully they will have gotten the hint and get things rolling on their own before you have to revert to a c-section!

Wow. Everyone is so safely tucked away that they are too cozy to come out! Perhaps they really want to be born on your dad's birthday.

Good luck.

Oh hon, I am sorry they are being so STUBBORN! Like Karen said though, you don't want a C-section, but I think they really want to come on your dad's b'day. They must know how much it will mean to you.

Hang in there honey,we're all waiting with baited breath for your babes to arrive!

Wow Lisa! They are being stubborn aren't they??? I hope something happens very soon for you sweetie, but it doesnt sound like your Dr will let you go much longer. Take care of yourself.

Hey girl!

I assume they're still hanging in there - I don't think I know of anyone due with twins who made their due date, but it looks like your bubs are holding out for Grandpa's birthday! Hopefully they will start coming on their own tonight so you can hold off a c-section, but if not - HOORAY! You're babies will be in your arms by this time tomorrow!
