Default second pregnancy question

I got pregnant with my daughter after Injectibles and an IUI and I was wondering if any of you are working on baby #2 and if you went straight to injectibles or if you started al over as you did with the first pregnancy...... My doctor wants to send me straight to the RE once we decide to start trying and I am wondering if I should try clomid again, just in case. I was resistent to it in the past, but I have also heard your body chemistry can change after having a child. I stopped nursing about a month ago and I have had no AF, to which I am not surprised since I never had one in the first place. Thanks

Hey there!

You don't say what your IF issues were last time, but it's possible if you had unexplained IF that you may be able to get pg all on your own with #2. That was what happened to us. We had 2.5+ yrs of unexplained IF, 5 IUI's, and 2 IVF's before IVF #2 was finally successful. Then we got pg with #2 all on our own. So I say have "fun" for a few months and see what happens, if nothing, then I would not go back to square one, I would start back off where you ended up last time.

Good luck!

We had to do IVF again to get pregnant the 2nd time... but that doesn't mean we didnt still try on our own au natural for awhile! It was the thought that counts right? Good luck, Sue is an inspiration and I hope you find yourself in similar shoes!

I have PCOS and a severe hormone imbalance. One of the major problems is I am costantly producing a ton of fsh. I do not have a cycle and I have only ovulated form the injectibles. I hope that clarifies a little better. I know my testosterone is high as well.

Hi!
I also got PG with number 1 with Injects and Insems but we had a male factor ( slight one ) issue -
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so who knows if that effects things

I am not sure given your prognosis but I say yes your body can change -
Like Sue I am now 31 weeks pregnant with number 2 naturally

If you feel like you have a bit of time maybe just try on your own for a bit -
It does not hurt to see someone too though - it worked for you the first time!!

Good luck and babydust to you!

Hello,

I think you should try for a few months to see what happens but injectables might be the way to go after that due to the PCOS. I think the biggest question is how soon do you want another baby. My daughters are 3 years apart and that worked out really well for us. They are such good friends.
