Default rh-

new here, and im not really sure on where i should be posting. so here goes nothing....

i found out about a year ago that ttc wasnt going to be easy, for i have irregular cycles and dont ovulate every cycle (when i do they arnt good eggs). i was keeping my temps and charting everything for about 6 months and nothing came of it. so after 6 months of not concieving i went back to the doc and he said that because he knows that my cycles arnt regular and he knew that my hormone levels are down that there was no reason to try on my own for a yr before going further, so that was nice. so, they gave me a prog shot to induce aunt flo, then on cd 5-9 i took clomid-50mg. ultra sound on cd23 showed that ovulation may have occured and a blood test showed prog lvl of 20. then cd 28 aunt flo came.

so then they gave me clomid again-100mg this time-days 5-9. well im on cd 21 and ultra sound today wasnt promising. so im waiting on my lab to come back to see if i ovulated or not.

the doc told me that being rh- would make me at high risk when my husband and i finally concieve. also, that it could take longer for a +pregnancy test result. is there anyone else out there with this going on?

I have never heard that being RH- makes you high risk. I am RH-, and the only risk is if you have a child, don't get the Rhogam shot, get pg again with a child who is RH+ THEN you may have a higher risk. But it's totally standard for RH- moms to get the Rhogam shots once they're pregnant, so that's a moot point. As for the longer + result, I DID have a later + with both of my boys, but I can't say it had ANYTHING to do with being RH-. Keegan was done via IVF, and when the first beta was negative, followed a couple times later of +++s, they were quite puzzled and never said anything about my RH- being any factor.
