Icon12 New Host!

Hi,
I just wanted to introduce myself to this board as the new host.
I am very excited to be here and support you down this road.
My name is Sadie and I am 32 and live in Arizona. I have a dh and 2 dd's ages 4 and 11.
I have had fertility issues forever. My first dd took 3 years to conceive. I am now on my Fourth year of ttc'ing. I am not sure what the problem is but, I have done hours upon hours of research on the subject. I have very regular cycles. I do have problems with cysts and I think I have a fibroid. I also, suppected that I am estrogen dominant from all of the dairy and meat products so, I just switched over to organic after doing some research on the subject. Our dairy and meat supply is pumped up with hormones and they go into our bloodstream. When we have too much of these hormones we tend to have lots of problems.
I have had a few mc's and an empty sac. I also seem to have had a few chemical pg's. So, I might have some kind of problem with implantation.
I like to stay SUPER POSITIVE! I think our minds can accomplish great things when we focus our positive energy into our lives.
I am here for you in any and every way! If you have a question I will try my darndest to find the answer to it if I don't already know it.
Your Friend and New Host of Infertility
Sadie

Ps. I prefer to call it fertility issues.

Hi Sadie,

Thanks for taking over the board. I'm a lurker and an occasional poster. I have twin boys who turned three on November 12 --- the result of IVF/ICSI. My Dh and I are ttc, although not really active with it. We're just not using protection and hoping that we get lucky. I won't do IVF again. My DH has antisperm antibodies, so IVF is pretty much our only hope short of a miracle.

But we've got two little miracles and there's always room in our house and hearts for another. So, we'll see what happens.

Good luck ttc with you.

Karen

Hi,
It's so nice to meet you!
Your boys are BEAUTIFUL.
I have read plenty of stories in which pg. was acheived au natural after having ivf and such. Stranger things have happened.
If you don't mind me asking, why no more ivf?

Hi Sadie,

Oh sure, you can ask away!!!

I had a really rough pg with the twins and I don't want to risk another multiples birth. It was okay the first time around since I had no children but if I have another crazy pg like that one with two kids in tow, I don't know what I'd do -- unexplained bleeding, preterm labor, a few hospitalizations for the preterm labor, bed rest for two months, and then Bell's Palsy two days AFTER the twins were born. It was a wonderful, yet rough period and I don't physically think I could do all the shots, emotions, and such again. I feel so blessed with Connor and Aaron and if it's God's will to let us have another -- by any means (adoption, IUI, or just the plain old fashioned way!) --- than we will embrace it. But at this point, we're doing it au naturale and seeing what happens.

Karen
