New to Board, clomid question

I am new to this entire process. Just needed to know if anyone could help, or give me any advice. I have two children. I concieved both of them naturally. I have been trying for a third for three years. I finally went to the doctor. They put me on prometrium for a while, because I am not regular. I took my first month of clomid. I did not ovulate. They are going to up my dosage. Has anyone been through the same thing. Will the dosage make me ovulate? What is the next step if clomid does not work?
