Default Molly-RE Appt

Hi Molly!
Your appt is getting close! But now I can't remember...is it tomorrow or wednesday? Now you're on the 'road to success'...or at least to getting some answers ; ) Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
I am waiting for AF. I took my provera for 10 days and so I she should be coming any day this week. Then I go in on CD3 for B/W and that is the last of my tests. Then we can get down to business!
Hope you had a good weekend!

Hi Erin-
My appt. is Wed. and I am so excited!! I can't wait to get this whole process started and get some answers!! I assume he will want some bloodwork after O and Day 3. I am really going to push for the lap. surgery because I have a strong feeling that I am looking at endo since my period pains get worse each month and start earlier. Oh well, we will see what he thinks!!
Hope AF shows soon so you can get in for your day 3 blood and then get started on the road to a baby!!
My weekend was okay. Yesterday was DH's birthday so we had friends over for a BBQ. Next Sunday is my B-day so hopefully we will do somethng fun for that! HOw was your weekend?
Oh, I am reading ANOTHER new book. This one is a novel about a woman struggling to get pregnant. It is called The Baby Trail and is by Sinead Moriarty. It is pretty funny!

Hi Molly!
Sounds like you guys had a good weekend! your birthdays are really close together ; )
Any plans yet for your day?
We went last weekend to see my sister in law's baby. He is such a doll. But you know, I had mixed feelings. I was, of course, feeling sorry for myself.
What time is your appointment today??? I can't wait to hear how it goes!
I still don't have AF but i have a feeling it's today. Which would be best because then i can get in on friday am for a blood test. Otherwise the earliest I can get in is Monday. Today is CD37 and I have been off the provera for 4 days so it shouldn't be too much longer.
I'm going to have to look for those books you mentioned! It sounds like you read a lot. So do I.
Good Luck today!!!

HI Erin!
I just got back from the RE. Of course I don't really know anything yet. I have to go in on CD3 for FSH, E2 and Prolactin levels and also to have an ultrasound to check my ovarian reserve. DH also has to get another SA. After that we will have a better idea what our plan is for moving forward. He said that he isn't as concerned about what is actually keeping me from getting PG because it won't really change the treatment plan all that much. I also will have a lot of flexibility in how I want to proceed. We can start with clomid, clomid/iui or injectibles with iui. He said it is totally up to me. I am almost thinking injectibles/iui because the success rates are so much higher. I might post the question on the iui board and see what those ladies who are going through it think.
No plans for my birthday yet, might go to my grandparent's house for dinner.
I know what you mean about seeing babies. LAst week I found out that my best friend is PG and has been for quite some time. I didn't not react very well and got all weepy. She hasn't spoken to me since! Don't know what to do about it since I have apologized a million times!
Hope you get your AF soon so you can get your blood tests done soon!!

Well it sounds like you had a good appointment. I'm glad you have alot of flexibility available. Let me know what the girls on the IUI board say. Have you had time to discuss options with DH? Good Luck! I have no idea what my dr will do. i want to do whatever will work.
I bet you will have a lot of fun on your birthday with your grandparents. It is nice to spend time with family.
I'm sorry about your friend not talking to you. It is so hard to hear that other people are expecting. Has she been through any fertility stuff? I think people who don't have to go through it don't really understand how difficult/stressful it is. You respondes exactly how I would have. And you did the right thing by apologizing. I hope she'll understand. And, i'm sure she's very emotional with all the hormones going crazy.

I hope we can get our friendship back on track because I miss talking to her. I am just afraid I hurt her feelings too much by not acting happy for her. Sometimes you just can't control the emotions, KWIM?? She hasn't been through infertility stuff, but it did take her about 9 months to get PG so she should at least understand some of the frustartion. But it is so hard for people to understand unless they have been through it themselves.

I just confirmed and we are going to my grandparents house on Sunday. My grandma and grandpa are realy so much fun. For my grandpa's bday/father's day/Christmas a few years ago we flew with him to Chicago for a night to see a Cubs game at Wrigley. He once told me that is the one thing he wanted to do before he died so we decided that we wanted to be the ones toa take him. We had so much fun!!

I got a ton of responses on the IUI board---you should go read them!

Talk to you later!

I really hope your friend will accept your apology and your friendship can be restored. Maybe she just needs some time to herself. I do kwym about the emotions. When my sister in law was TTC she kept insisting 'something' was wrong and she probably wouldn't have kids. Well, there was nothing wrong...it just took time. But now that there is something wrong with me it makes me so mad that she would make those statements. DH can't understand why it makes me mad, and i really don't either. It just does. Oh well.
I love going to Cubs games! my mom is THE biggest Cubs fan! She used to follow the Cubbies around the country for their games. : ) I bet you had a great time heading into the city for the game. I don't live far from Wrigley.
Oh, i'll go look at the IUI board to see what they say! I'm glad they were able to give you information. I'm really happy for you that your dr is letting you set the pace.
I have a friend who saw her RE for the first time on Tuesday and her dr told her that Provera (which i took for 10 days to start a cycle) doesn't always bring AF. So I think if I don't have AF by Monday (which would be 10 days since my last pill) I'll call the dr.

Erin-I just got some fabulous news!! If my DH and I switch insurance plans from the HMO that we currently have to a PPO then we will have $10,000 in infertility coverage!!! I am so excited and hopefully I can get PG on the insurance company's $$$ and not have to tap into our stock, etc...
Did AF show yet?? If it doesn't show then what can your Dr. do to bring it on???

Mine gives results right away, but I had my consultation before the CD3 bloodwork, so I assume all RE's have their own way of doing things! I will be waiting on pins and needles to hear your results and treatment plan!!
