Hi Lisa,

I am sorry to hear your father-in-law in not improving yet! I hope the doctors can figure something out and get him on the right treatment. I wonder what they are giving him Chemo for if he doesn't have cancer. Maybe Mark can ask the doctors if his mother can't get answers. I know they also give Chemo type drugs (Interferon) for Hep C but I doubt that would be the case for him.

I think your carpel tunnel will be fine once that babies are born. I know two women who had trouble while pregnant and now are fine since their babies have been born.

Not much new here really. I did get some shopping done last Wednesday. I hope to do a little more next Wednesday after my yearly exam. I will not have much time that day though. We hope to put a few outside lights up later this afternoon. I know what you mean about the guys getting on the roof. Now that we are older and have three kids to think about, I really don't mind him not doing the roof lines anymore. I worry about him falling. He may get up there for a short time to put a big wreath on the chimney. We haven't done that in years now but it is still hanging in the garage. In fact the kids and I were just watching an old video of him doing it and I was talking about how we had just put the second coat of paint on Lindy's room awaiting her arrival from Korea. She came January 14th 1995, so it will be 10 years next month.

Talk to you later.

Bilinda

Wow Bilinda....

1995 doesn't seem like all that long ago to me. Isn't it strange to think that your DD could possibly be 10!!?! I guess the older you get the quicker time passes. I remember when I was a kid, those summer days used to stretch on forever... now they pass in the blink of an eye. Makes me think that I should bone up on the instruction manual that came with my camcorder I received for my birthday... I don't want to miss a moment.

My father-in-law.... well, it turns out that the doctors are exploring a theory on the possibility of a brain cancer. They should be getting the results of the biopsy today and having a big consult this afternoon about it. Mark was planning to travel down there, but we have a threat of a big storm approaching and he is leaning on not going but calling in. His dad is pretty drawn and tired and is losing a lot of weight. I'm really scared for him. More than I let on to DH. I went through cancer with my own father and this just doesn't look good. I hope that it is not cancer, but something else that is easily treatable. I pray.

This is my last week at work. Gosh I can't believe it. But in a way I'm happy. I'm feeling very tired these days. My hands and feet are swollen today. Can't wear my rings. And I could really use a little more sleep.

On the upside... Our local ToysRus had a military appreciation night and opened their doors after hours on Sunday night. This past Thursday I had a baby shower at work and they gave me a $75 gift card and I took that with me. We saw many people we knew from the guards... it was like a big old reunion party. It was so much fun. Free soda and cookies and they had raffles. We ended up winning a free boys bike with training wheels. I was floored. And we bought our $75 worth of items and then some! We got there for 7pm and left a tad after 9pm. But I told DH we'd better leave before I bought everything out of the baby dept!

I got a jump on my Christmas cards this weekend. OMG! 71 cards!! Its amazing how that list grows every year. I finished writing them all out. I don't know how I did it with these hands, but I did it. Of course they hurt like heck now. But the cards are written!! Now I have to go get stamps and I can cross that off my to do list. We still have the tree to get up and I have to finish wrapping the mailable gifts. I've really gotta hurry with that. I think I can finish that within the next two days unless I poop out. I get so tired... but who doesn't this time of year.

Well, I should be going. Bye for now.....

Hi Lisa,

Well today was your last day of work. Was it sad for you or are you happy to be done. Today was the last day for one of the guys that has been in our area for 4 years. He is a nice guy so I will miss him. He went to work in a different area of the company but we are all going to be put together in one building in about 2 years so I will probably be seeing him again in the future. I have been in the same building, just different floors for 24 years so it will be strange to move.

How is your father-in-law doing? I hope you and Mark got some good news this week.

I am glad you had fun shopping at Toys R Us and got lots of things. That is great you won a bike. Now you will only need to get one more. I still need to do my Christmas cards, I have only sent one out so far. I send out about 25 so I need to get busy. I hope to mail the out of town gifts soon. I need to get those wrapped and boxed up. Well I better get going now and I hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Bilinda,

Sorry its been so long. I'm writing a separate post as explaination for the delay. Hope you had a great Christmas. We did for the most part. DH had a problem with his sister. She obviously doesn't understand what its like to be married and have children on the way. Long story, but she's a self-centered shrew sometimes. We are getting over it.

DH's father is out of Dartmouth and back in a local hospital. He seems to be improving somewhat and will be re-entering rehab. His speech is still not great, but is gaining mobility in his arm and leg. Its going to be a long road still. But we are gaining ground.

Bye for now.

Hi Lisa,

I am so happy to hear from you. I was so worried that something bad had happened with your father in law and you were busy with that. I am so glad to hear he is improving even if slowly. I need to call my MIL and see how she is doing. She was feeling poorly before Christmas so they decided not to come to be with us at Christmas. They think she has fibromalasia. I know that is terrible spelling and maybe not even the right word, but it is where your nerve ending swell or something like that and it causes a lot of pain. She has to have help getting out of bed in the morning. She is hoping the teaching hospital near them can do something for her.

We had a bad thing happened yesterday which is making us sad. Our pony Casey has slowly been getting meaner and pulling bad things on us like rearing up. Well yesterday she kicked Brian square in the stomach when he was trying to get by her to pet her. He was hoping kindness would make her nicer. Thankfully no broken ribs or anything but we have decided we just can't keep her around because she could hurt our daughters and we would never forgive ourselves. So now Lindy is sad and I am sad but it needs to be done. We need a dead broke horse to be safe for the girls.

On the lighter side, we had a nice quiet Christmas and went sledding again behind one of the other horses. I fell off and got a little bruise on my leg but still had a lot of fun. So how are you doing?

Bilinda
