Induction Set
Hi Ladies,
Its almost time!
My mom has been here since Jan 5th waiting on the arrival of the twins, and is talking about leaving Feb 2 to go back to FL. (She has plane tickets.) She has had enough of winter and has been here for almost a month now. With my new news I'm not sure what she will actually end up doing now. However.....
About the same time she told me that... a couple days later (yesterday) my OB told me he wants to start my induction on Fri. I haven't shown signs of dilating yet, but because I'm 38 weeks with twins he thinks it is wise to have them out to avoid possible complications like placental abruption. Not that that is happening to me, but I guess it is common in multiple deliveries towards the end. 38 weeks is considered term for twins anyway. He says I've more than done my job and its time to meet the babies.
Say some prayers for me and hope this works. Sometimes inductions don't when the body doesn't show signs of being ready yet (like mine). It could take a couple days and then not work. I'd be sent home or have a c-section. We'll see what happens, but all prayers are welcome.
I'll be off line for a while as I have so much to get ready for and a lot going on afterwards. But I just wanted to let you know what was happening.

Re: Induction Set
OMG, Lisa, it's almost time to meet those love bugs!!!! How exciting and scary and interesting this time is going to be. I'll pray that you have an easy induction, labor and delivery. You'll do great. This will be a cake walk considering all the crap you've lived through in the past few years. Imagine the feeling of seeing those gorgeous babes for the first time. I can't wait to hear all the details. Stay calm and you'll be just fine.
Love and hugs and lots of prayers from all of us,
Karen

Re: Induction Set
Lisa!
Start working to get those babies out so they're ready for Friday! I was induced with Keegan and spent 17 hours in the hospital with nothing happening. I asked to go home and then went into labor 2 days later. Start taking long walks, have sex with hubby dearest, eat spicy food, jump up and down! Let's get this ball rolling!
I am so excited for you! I can't believe they're almost here! You'd better post LOTS of pictures missy!
Love and hugs!
Sue

Re: Induction Set
HI,
DH and I are getting really excited. Sue, I'm with you.... time to get this going on its own. I'm so afraid of it not working and ending up with a long labor experience and a c-sec anyway because of it.
Have you girls ever felt this way.... I'm feeling sadness about the PG coming to an end. I've loved every minute of it and am really sad to be ending it before my body is giving me a signal that its ready. I'm going to miss those little feet in my ribs and all the other little fun things that goes with carrying babies. I know that once the babes are here my mind will be occupied with other things and I will have them in my arms. But I know I'll miss holding them under my heart. I'm so silly sometimes. Sentimentally foolish.
Well, probably the next time I write I'll be a momma. Thanks for being there for me all these years. I don't know how I'd have gotten through it without you all. I love you all more than you know.

Oh Lisa, I am SOOOOO incredibly excited for you!! I can believe that you are going to be a mommy in less than 3 days (pending all goes well, of course!) after all of these years of waiting!!! It truly is bittersweet...as much as I wanted my pregnancy to be over, I loved feeling them inside me...it truly is amazing!! I can't wait to hear all about your birth story and see lots of pics of your miracles!! Oh, and I can't wait to know what their names are!!
Best wishes to you!! I hope that you have a speedy delivery!!!

Re: Induction Set
Good luck tomorrow Lisa!
I hope your induction gets those little ones on there way to meet their very deserving Mommy & Daddy! As for being sad that your pregnancy is coming to an end, I have heard many of my girlfriends tell me that. I can only imagine that after facing IF for so long it must be even harder to let go. Just remember, you can do it again.... if the twins don't wear you out!
Good luck and I can't wait to see the pictures and your birth story!

Re: Induction Set
Hi Lisa,
Well today is the big day! I am so excited for you and your DH. I sure hope it goes quickly and smoothly for you. It might take a little while but it sure will be exciting to see those babies. When I had Amelia, they induced labor after my water broke. Those meds got things going and she was born about 12 hours later.
I will be thinking of you today sweetie!!!!
