Default Hello, I'm new too....sorry this is kind of long.

After months of reading and searching for info, I've decided to post also. My husband and I have been ttc for 3 1/2 years and it's really hard. I'm on cycle day 30 right now...sorry, I don't know all the abbreviations yet! Here's a little info...We had our 2nd IUI on 12/15, prog. level was at 30.5 on 12/22 and I spent the whole week thinking we were pregnant! Yesterday I went in for the blood pregnancy test and it was negative. I feel like my heart is breaking...
I'm waiting for my nurse to call me back right now. She said if I don't get my period today, then I have to go in tomorrow for another blood pregnancy test. The only thing is, I have Really bad cramping...it's on my right side (by the ovary) and the pain shoots down my leg. That started on Monday and I knew it was a bad sign...
Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be from? I'm still taking Prometrium...maybe it's from that? But I never cramp...only on the 1st and 2nd day of my cycle.
Thanks to all of you who post! What a great support!

Hi there! Sorry you are dealing with Infertility... it's not a lot of fun. As far as the cramping - it could be many things. Do you ever get ovarian cysts during your cycles? I know that I get them and every once in a while one will be quite painful. Make sure to mention it to your Dr.

Out of curiosity - Why are you still taking the Prometrium? My RE always has me go off of it once I get a negative... and I have heard it keeps AF away - so that could be the reason for the delay? Good luck with your next cycle - I hope it brings ++ news. Our son is the result of 3.5 years of IF treatment, so it can happen.

Thanks for reply! Your son is gorgeous! I just talked to the nurse and she told stop the prometrium and if the cramping continues over the weekend to go to Urgent Care. ???? I don't understand!
Thanks,
Heather T.

Hi Heather:

I really don't have any answers for you and I'm sorry you are dealing with all of this IF crap. It's awful isn't it? DH and I dealt with IF for 2 1/2 years, so I can relate.

I think you should call your doctor and demand to know about the cramping problem. It's a holiday weekend and you might not get much help in the office tomorrow since a lot of staff and personnel are off. And you don't want to wait all weekend in pain.

Good luck.

Karen
