Just when you think things are sane...
Aaron fell out of his crib on Monday, not once, but twice!!

And the second time I was in the room with him. When DH got home from work, we went right to Toys R Us and bought toddler beds. Girls, it was rough -- watching the cribs get taken apart. Really a bittersweet moment for me. And Connor and Aaron were running around telling me, "Big boy bed" and "No more crib." Really, did they need to further rub salt in the wound??
So far, they are doing well. It takes a few tries to get them to stay in the beds. And they've not napped in them. Today, they tore their room completely apart.
But I forgot to consider one thing when we came home with the beds -- late night visitors. Connor showed up at 4:30 AM today and asked me, "Mommy's bed" meaning he wanted to sleep with us. I told him he could sleep in his bed which received a wail of protest or the floor. Guess what? He curled up on the floor with his blankie and a pillow and slept there until morning. Pretty funny. I still think of the boys as babies but they are real little people. Amazing.
Just had to share.
