Icon9 FET - Update

Everything went well with that transfer and I two days after the embabies were brought back "home", I had preggo symptoms and lots of them. Very similar to my first IVF that worked, but miscarried. But, sadly, one week post transfer, I started bleeding. Bam, it was over. My RE office told me that it was not a period and that I'll be starting a new cycle soon. I'm waiting...... Nothing yet. I wonder if that was it. I had some pain the day it started (brown spotting last Monday, Tuesday night, it was red but very little spotting, Wednesday it was in high gear and Thursday it had lightened up, Friday it was gone), but I think that was from more than just the bleed, probably gas from being so nervous. Anyway, last Monday, my progesterone was 37 and on Friday, it was less than 2. Wonder when that period will ever come. Sigh. We go in for a consult on the 7th. One of my nurses thinks the same as me, it could very well have been implantation and then my lining broke down with the bleed due to the heparin which was administered to thin my blood to limit my nasty antibodies. In any case, it sucks. It's my first holiday without my dad with us (he passed away in September, a month after my m/c from my first IVF) and I was hoping my hubby and I would have something to be happy about to help us through it. I guess not.

Ahh Erica - I am so sorry to hear that. It's not enough that we deal with infertility, but then have things like mid cycle bleeds thrown at us. It's not a fair hand we are all dealing with, that's for sure. I am thinking about you - hopefully you and DH will find a little happiness over the holiday. Hugs.

Hi hun, I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. And it makes it all doubly difficult when you have the holidays upon us. It seems like things are multiplied when you want a baby so badly. Hang in there and I am hoping that you are soon!

Love,

Erica,

I'm so very sorry sweetie. I can so relate having gone through IF for 6+ years and having a father who passed away as well. Hope your new cycle starts soon and your holidays will be happy from now on. Hang in there... good things are ahead, I just know it!
