Default Erica?

I haven't had internet access in awhile so I'm sorry this is so late. First of all, I'm very sorry to hear about your father. I lost my father to cancer 9 years ago in September. I know how hard it is. How is your mom doing?

Also, I wanted to let you know that my daughter was conceived at HRC. I noticed you have their link on your last post for info on ZIFT. My daughter is an IVF / HRC baby! My doctor is Dr. Nelson. He is soooo wonderful. I had my lap at Huntington 3 years ago right before I got pregnant.

You're in great hands and eventually they WILL get you pregnant. People come from all over the world to see their doctors. I'm hoping to go back soon to try for #2.

Babydust!

Hey, thanks for calling me out. Things have been odd since dad left us a few months ago. We're all coping. My sister is in therapy and on anti-D's. Mom is going to cancer groups to talk. I'm able to find my IVF stuff to focus on to keep my sanity and do acupuncture when/as needed. It really does help to have other things to keep occupied.

The link was just a link to explain the procedure. I actually go to Rush Copley hospital and I love my doc. Their site didn't explain too much, so I found the one that had a decent explaination and used it. I can't wait. My last prometrium pill is tomorrow. I should have by next Wednesday and plan to start stimming a week from today. My ER should be two weeks from tomorrow (guess) and my ZIFT/TET two days after. So, we'll see. My RE said that the procedure will be 20% more effective than a standard IVF and with 30% higher chance of multiples. But, we knew that going into treatments anyway and have chosen to take whatever is thrown at us.

Last year was the worst of my life, so I'm very much looking forward to this year being better. I can't wait to get this going.

Thanks so much for checking up on me!!!!

Erica

I started stimming today! Today is cd3 and I will have my retrieval next week (Tuesday?) and then my diagnostic Lap/ZIFT/TET two days later. YAY! I'm starting this year with a bang!

Update -

Last Thurs, 16 eggs were retrieved. 14 fert'd but 3 were abnormal. We had 11 good ferts! I recovered on Friday and on Saturday, I had my lap. Turns out that just as my RE thought, my eggs never made it into my tubes. I had adhesions (tissue) on each of my tubes, pressing them to the pelvic wall. The tissue was removed and both of my tubes work correctly. My RE then transferred 4 2 day old embies into my tubes (2 in each). Looks like we're in the 2ww now! My RE also made mention that we probably can have IUIs from now on and shouldn't have to resort to IVF as our only option because my tubes function as they should. I'll still have to be stimulated to ovulate because I don't do that on my own, but we'll have a shot at getting pregnant ourselves that way!
