Anyone have hsg test? ( dye/exray test)

I am coming over from the MC board.Figured you girls here had been throught testing.I am going in tomorrow for the dye test.Where they take exrays of your uterus.Wondering if your dhs got to go in with you?

I had mine done in March and my DH did not come in with me, although I suppose they would have let him if I had insisted. When the nurse called me back my DH stood up like he was coming back with me as we weren't really sure if he should come or not. My Dr. was just going into the x-ray room and met me halfway there and told DH that I would be fine and we would be done in a few minutes, so he sat back down. I was okay with that because I didn't really want him there while they were catheterizing me, etc... Just seems weird for some reason. Besides, I am really comfortable with my ob/gyn as he has been my Dr. for 8+ years.
But I would imagine if you say you want DH to come with you they will let him.

I had mine done in May and DH did not go in with me. But it was fine because the nurse came and walked me down and stayed with me the whole time. It literally is just a couple minutes. But like Molly said, if you insisted they would probably let him come with. Good luck to you!

DH didn't come with me. I'm glad too--I think it would have freaked him out (which would have freaked me out)! The whole thing was about 5-10 minutes. It's not too bad--I had some spotting afterwards and cramping during and afterwards as well. But we ladies do what we have to do!
